Starbucks “FREE PASTRY” day?No way!

(10 am. – promoted by ek hornbeck)

Facebook members may have noticed an ad on their homepage sidebar today. It’s a Starbucks invitation to a “free pastry” day, and clicking on it takes you to the Starbuck’s facebook page where you can RSVP whether you will be attending.

Ya, THAT Starbucks.

Photobucket

The one that recently (June 2009) became the most prominent sponsor of the “Morning Jo(k)e” with Jo(k)e Scarborough on MSNBC.

The funny Rethug mouthpiece who giggles into his STARBUCKS coffee cup about American torture. He thinks torture is a hoot, a frat boy prank, a useful tool, and is keeping ‘mericans safe.

Apparently, Starbucks does not disagree.

Facebook members have a chance to tell Starbucks how we really feel about their choice of product placement. About the “humor” lacking in all things torture. About how wrong Jo(k)e Scarborough is, and how offensive laughing about torture over Starbuck’s coffee on national TV is.

My RSVP says:

As a VERY prominent sponsor of the Morning Jo(k)e/Joe Scarborough show, I can’t in good conscience patronize Starbucks.

I don’t support companies who apparently agree with laughing Joe S, who has loudly proclaimed that American torture is just dandy, and giggles about it whenever he has the chance.

Here’s the Facebook LINKY to the Starbucks RSVP page.

Go yell louder!

  1. Torture isn’t funny, and neither is Jo(k)e Scarborough.

  2. I walk in, announce that Starbucks endorse Bush/Cheney and Torture policies, and then walk out.

Everytime I pass one in NYC, and that is often cause their everywhere.

Alot of times, some people walk out with me.

    YELL LOUDER!

Until they fucking apologize for supporting Fascist Joe.

  3. Never again! Their coffee sucks. If I want shitty coffee I go to the clown, at least they don’t brag about it.
