Fight back against health insurance Lies

POWERFUL

What does UnitedHealthcare CEO Stephen Hemsley have to lose if Congress passes real healthcare reform this year? Well, for starters, his nearly three quarters of a billion dollars in unexercised stock options might lose a few pennies on the dollar.

What does Isabella, a four year-old girl in Winsconsin who is physically incapable of eating and has had to be tube fed her entire life, have to gain from healthcare reform? The treatment she needs to live a normal life.

We need to show what is really going in here.  Insurance company greed.

I’m afraid this “reform” is just going to strengthen health insurance companies by creating a hobbled public option and mandating private insurance.  If that lowered costs, it might be good, but their “level playing field” will not do it.

Thank you for a great post – I don’t mean to take away from that.  We still need to fight back against lies, and I have sent this video to a friend that thinks the current system is just fine and Obama’s plan is “socialism.”

Another lie is that people with health insurance are financially protected.  This study shows that many people with health insurance end up in medical bankruptcy, both because of losing their jobs and insurance when they get sick, and because of inadequate coverage.
