Idiots at Pentagon Can’t Even Recognize Taliban Commanders!

 Petraeus

Idiots at the Pentagon who constantly claim to recognize “suspected insurgents” through the tiny cameras in Predator drones as they destroy whole villages in Afghanistan…

Idiots at the Pentagon who hire Blackwater assassins to murder “suspected insurgents” all over Pakistan and Afghanistan …

Those same idiots can’t even recognize the second-ranking commander of the Taliban, Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansour!

For months, the secret talks unfolding between Taliban and Afghan leaders to end the war appeared to be showing promise, if only because of the appearance of a certain insurgent leader at one end of the table: Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansour, one of the most senior commanders in the Taliban movement.

But now, it turns out, Mr. Mansour was apparently not Mr. Mansour at all. In an episode that could have been lifted from a spy novel, United States and Afghan officials now say the Afghan man was an impostor, and high-level discussions conducted with the assistance of NATO appear to have achieved little.

“It’s not him,” said a Western diplomat in Kabul intimately involved in the discussions. “And we gave him a lot of money.”

  1. From the Wall Street Journal…

“American officials in Afghanistan used to call Col. Abdul Razzik a “malignant actor” who must be sidelined. Now they hail the suspected drug lord as a hero of the new Kandahar offensive and a leader with national potential.”

This turnabout reflects increased US dependence on exactly “the strongmen whose abuses had made the Taliban popular in the first place.”

Can’t get much more ridiculous. The whole enterprise speaks of the confusion of missions brought about by the varying agendas within the military, the intel services and various oligarchical factions all running different cons. And I’m saying nothing about the Afghanis, the Pakistanis, the Indians, Iranians, and a variety of operatives from the region who are all over the place skimming money from projects, drug deals, criminal enterprises, hijacking and any  kind of racket imaginable. Americans have not idea either on the right or the left of what actually is going on there. Oh, I left out the NGOs and the foreign troops–all those have separate agendas–in fact, NGOs who claim to be “humanitarian” are themselves often running scams.

  2. documents the commanders who have been killed/captured and or even deemed “not real” over the time span of this entire fiasco of this Al-CIA-duh creation.  All based mostly on Larry Silverstein’s unique asbestos abatement solution and the neo-con’s need to replace Russia with Islam in the abscence of the Cold War.

That and I like the graphic.
