A Semi-Final of Upsets.
Well, it’s actually hard to call a #2 Seed over a #1 Seed an upset, but never-the-less I think I can say that very few people actually expected Villanova to win over Kansas which was the #1 Seed in the entire Tournament and consensus #1 Team in the country.
Even I didn’t expect Syracuse to beat North Carolina. A #10 Seed in the Final Four has never happened before, though it not as big a deal as the announcers made it out to be because several higher Seeded Teams have and that #10 was empty is just a fluke of numerology.
Of course I’ll be rooting for Syracuse, but also for Villanova as a representative of the Old Big East back before the Throwball tail started wagging the Basketball dog (UConn has wasted over $100 Million on a Throwball Team that would be hard pressed to be competitive in Division II. Idiots.).
Feel free to root for your favorites or at least the team you hate less. Winners go on to compete for the National Championship on April 4th.
