By me of course, the Tournament will continue.
I’m having some issues with heat faults in my CPU. I have a temperature monitor in the support software for my motherboard and where it normally runs at a steady 86 – 91 F with spikes to 138 under heavy load it now zooms to 130 at boot and pops at 150 (built in safety factor) under any stress at all.
Highly annoying when you need to visit a lot of sites and capture many URLs.
And performance has degraded to the point I have to reboot after each school. Sometimes I get the chance to save but sometimes not which means I have to do it again.
I don’t think it’s a conventional virus or malware attack despite visiting a lot of pages that could be compromised by a bored Collegian hacker though I’ll run some scans as soon as my system gets stabilized enough to do it. Instead I think that the resident portion of one of my usual programs has gone rogue and I’ll have to purge my startup package until I find the culprit.
Any way, what it means to you as a reader is that I’ll be down all day up to my eyeballs in debugging before I get to the not inconsiderable task of catching up. You can be assured I’ll do it however, my system, while honed, is like a shark in that it only swims forward.
Oh and I’ll be taking a brief break to watch every minute of the Lady Huskies’ glorious but boring and inevitable victory at 11 am on ESPN 2.
