Turn on the TV today and you will see many reminders of the tenth anniversary of the September 11th attacks. The images and stories are all present, while the MSM are all very compliant with selling the fear.
Politicians will pose for the cameras with their hooks of “God bless America” and thanking the troops for their service …
But it occurred to me …. what is missing?
AH, thats it the troops are missing!
Nearly ten years ago America invaded Afghanistan, and yet … there is no coverage of the war. No protests. No end to it from Mr. Change.
If the MSM who are falling all over themselves were doing their job maybe they would be reporting this.
KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) – A powerful Taliban truck bomb that wounded 77 American soldiers and killed five Afghans outside a combat outpost served as a reminder on Sunday that 10 years after the Sept. 11 attacks, nearly 100,000 U.S. troops are still fighting a war that shows no signs of slowing down.
If anything it has expanded beyond the border of Afghanistan. Are we winning or just creating future terrorists?
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack. Earlier, they had issued a statement vowing to fight until all foreign troops leave. The radical Islamic movement, which gave shelter to Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida when it ruled Afghanistan, also stressed that it had no role in the Sept. 11 attacks, and it accused the U.S. of using them as a pretext to invade the country.
Due to Bush’s eagerness to go into Iraq the years of neglect in Afghanistan allowed the Taliban to regroup and essentially take back the country short of a small area around the capital.
“Some back home have asked why we are still here,” U.S. Ambassador Ryan Crocker said at a 9/11 memorial at the embassy in Kabul. “It’s been a long fight and people are tired. The reason is simple. Al-Qaida is not here in Afghanistan, and that is because we are. “
Spoken like a true douchebag. So Al Queda is not in Afghanistan … so answer the question, why are we still there? Are we nation building? Did we go to war against the Taliban? Was this the precursor to what is now going on in Libya? Are we now invading countries and warring against governments we dont agree with?
If Al Queda is the target all we have done is disperse them all over the globe. Of course we are making a whole bunch of new friends in the process … right?

Seems we do more in fighting to keep the distraction going that we STILL have troops over seas. But you wouldnt know it though … as thanking the troops for their service is all the farther it ever goes.
Al-Qaida is everywhere. Al-Qaida cannot be killed. We must have war. War is peace.
