This is a follow up on a diary I did back in July on DK. The NRDC is urgently asking that public comments be submitted to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, opposing its plan to allow the killing of wolves in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, and donations to help air this ad~
Natural Resources Action Fund has produced an Ad, titled appropriately,
“Call off the Guns”. As they say in their email campaign,
Time is short. The Bush Administration is only taking public input for 13 more days on a plan that would allow nearly 600 wolves in the northern Rockies to be gunned down, starting as early as this winter…snip…Since yesterday morning we’ve raised $105,000 of the $200,000 we need to get our “Call Off the Guns” ad on television next week.
Sorry to be so brief, but I hate to see this beautiful species so carefully brought back from the very edge of extinction once again endangered because oil and natural gas companies want more exploration rights in some of the last wild places left.
