Capitulation Congress

I can’t fucking believe it.

Our Craven Cowards, our Beltway Bozos have just passed the Kyl-Lieberman “Let’s start a war we will fucking lose” amendment and a House censure for MoveOn.org over the BetrayUs ad.

Let me tell you who’s betraying us- Congressional Democrats!

Quislings.  Cowards.  Bone headed assholes the lot of them.  Bush Buttkissers.  Enablers of Torture.  Simpering Sycophants.

Fuck them all.

  1. can censure a citizen, or a group?

    I didn’t know that.

  2. and this is because the anti war base dared to speak out, got down to the real issues here instead of feigning opposition designed to never work.  Insult to injury.

  3. is why I/we started this place.

    Beyond fucking belief.

Now Bush has clear authorization to launch attacks on Iran.  Otherwise we might have to repeat the whole drama of actually defending a war through scant evidence and questionable sources.

I’m looking at job offers in Canada.  Haven’t given up on the U.S., but not interested in the blowback, either.

If you don’t believe, then you can’t be betrayed.

I don’t believe in this Congress anymore. Oh, they exist. I believe that. I don’t believe that they can be trusted, nor that they have anything approaching a progressive agenda. At best, some of the Democrats present with a scraps-from-the-table mishmash of warmed over reform.

It’s time for a new party, don’t you think?

  4. I know that the good Senators will say, “Hey, it just expresses the ‘sense’ of the Senate…it’s non-binding…blah blah blah.”

To that, I say it shows that you don’t have any sense.  And that’s how the more insidious shit gets started.

On the Markos list, though, about the MoveOn ad…eh, doesn’t get my hackles up.  I tend to agree with Obama who didn’t vote…the piece of crap wasn’t even worth voting for.

Might as well have been voting on “freedom fries” or something.

  5. The original amendment wasn’t passed, and the one that was was almost meaningless.

But people — you gotta know we Plutocrats are conducting this war, not the US Government. Stop blaming congress. It’s out of their hands.

There are now more corporate military in Iraq (approaching 200,000 skinheads pulling down more than $175,000 per deployment) than there are US Troops (160,000 low-wage, clueless, bullet-catching pawns).

Please tell me you already knew that.

The Iraq war is a for-profit corporate private enterprise. You can’t vote it away. The US goverment is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the MIC (headquartered in Dubai).

I, for one, am making an awful lot of money from this war.

    Vote that.

    1. I don’t want to read any more about defunding — or even about impeachment — if this Congress can’t even get their act together when it comes to a fucking NEWSPAPER AD, how the hell can we expect they’ll stand up and EVER be a real opposition!

I think it’s time to change strategies — there needs to be another way to look at our dear government.

I am so pissed off I can barely type — having to correct every other word … aarrgh.

    2. … fucking HILLARY voted for this piece of crap???

      Good on Dodd and Biden.

  6. Really?
