there’s something too compartmentalized between the buddha and the keyboard. i also think the buddha’s much too large- too dominant an image. i’m also not crazy about the lennon image, as it’s too iconic to use him. i prefer a more subtle approach.
Are entries still being accepted? Are there “guidelines” to work with?
I’m not sure anything I come up with would look like current or previous iterations, though. I’m not really on that wavelength- after all, The Man is always hiring, and he snapped me up right quick.
and no Pony Pastry thread when it would actually be useful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, but this brownish color scheme, red for new comments, is actually pretty easy on the eyes.
but here’s something that needs to be looked at before we launch: there has to be a limit to threading comments. Right now in longer discussions (see Danby’s defundamentalism diary) the cascading discussion runs right into the right margin until you’re only getting a handful of letters a row. Is there a way to set limits on threading?
but that means my take is sort of an outsider take now,
huh?
That cowboy in some other logo would be cool, but it is
so not working for me. The eyes I liked, John Lennon
I figured out and accepted, the evolution with the stars,
sky, pony heads I got, but the cowboy interrupts
the flow.
Whatever you guys decide, it will rock. I’ll endure the
cowboy in front of the Buddha (but I don’t wanna!)
Still, a ♥ for all the collaborative design that
I’ve been lurking on.
I fiddled around. Took out Lennon, recalling that someone thought he looked like the GEICO caveman. Juggled stuff around so that both the eyes and the horse moon are included.
The only change I’m really attached to is the detail work around the bottom of the Buddha. That chopped, cropped look has been really bugging me.
I like the visual ties between the keyboard and dreaming of the stars. I’m doubtful it’s good for buddha to be a diagonal design element.

that I think OPOL’s banner is perfect and do not feel bad about getting beat by the master.

I mostly like it, but I think the keyboard at the bottom is a little too “clip arty.” /ameteur critic
is the eyes graphic on the bottom left.
Not sure what that is or how it works with the overall text and offset right combo images.
I like a hair less clutter (except at home, where I positively wallow in it).
I’m in love.

believe me, this site will NOT hold their interest, unless you want to play sheriff which is your choice
bed is callingggggggggggggggggg
This is cool, I’m watching the site change color palettes each time I refresh. Who’s working on it?

They’re just sites like any other.

they can only turn this into a mess if we let them… i have no intention of letting them
and i know i can be sweet and seem like a push over… but i’m telling you… between you and me… we’ll wear them down way before they ever wear us down…
and it’s like exercising your muscles… it’s always good to do some pushing back…

use the black keyboard underneath????
but oh my…
is there no symbol of the feminine? Why, o goddess, why? (Or, more likely, where have I missed feminine symbolism? *g*)
