when i see the picture of a young person and know they are lost to this insanity

  1. if only the bullets were phony, too…

thanks for pointing more eyes at this amazing post, armando.  its a wonderful piece of satire as well as a poignant defense of men and women who shouldnt need it.

    this quote made me laugh…

…so here’s my opinion of you, Rush: you’re as smart, selfless and courageous as I was as a 17 year old high school senior.

It’s time to blast Rush Limpdick, not just his words.  It would be like swift boating but we’ll use the truth instead of bullshit.  There was a time truth mattered, a good time, a time that must return.

  3. I read him too and now I know he reads you and it’s all so chum chum chummy;)  Soon there will be sharks 😉  This is my favorite posting of his that tells all the tales of success and failure on the ground surging.

  5. What a compellingly phony soldier! Can you beleive he just makes that stuff up?  And can he photoshop or what? Those BDU’s look almost real.

was posted at OOIBC in reply to Alex’s post:

Thank you, Alex. My son just finished his first tour in Iraq. He enlisted at 19 wanting to “go over there and help those guys,” because I raised him Republican.and the side-effect was that, because he’s male, I guess, it made him blindly patriotic and gung-ho, a lot like the young veteran who wrote “The War I Always Wanted.” I desperately regret the mistake I made, which my son is paying for. God bless you guys. I pray every night for every one of you, including those we’ve lost, and for this to end. I won’t stop until the “war” stops. It is unacceptable, and I am not accepting it.
