Pony Party…Jay Ward Edition…

A very special day!  A very important day!  It’s the birthday of Jay Ward.  Well, he’s not around to enjoy it, sadly.  He would have been 87 today.  But we can celebrate…the only way possible…with two whole episodes of…

Rocky and Bullwinkle!  From 1960…oddly subversive and quite wonderful…it made me happy.  Hopefully you will enjoy it as well…

Jessical is your sadly absent Rocky for this episode…kidnapped by dentists, she is negotiating with Natasha for her freedom, but stay tuned in this space.  The ponies war against the sunset glow, but will be back in their paddocks late.  Be excellent to each other!

  2. avoidance right now, chipped a tooth the other day, and while I still have plenty of the tooth left and no pain I am sure more will follow if I don’t go. My dentist is a very cheerful fellow probably, because my husband and I have paid for his son’s college education over the years.

  3. when I was little. But happy birthday to Mr. Ward in any case.

Here is an interesting animation for you all to take a look at, based on James Thurber’s story “The Flower” It is a story that is very relative to the choices we humans still face today.

  4. Hope this works…I need to find out how to work this so the picture shows up instead of the link

A few years ago I was asked to remove a rattlesnake (don’t ask) from underneath a friends deck because it made the landscaper he had hired nervous enough to want to kill it.  I was able to do this.  When he offered to give me a twenty for risking my life, I instead asked if he was doodling someday he might draw me a memento, which he did.  This guy was one of the artists on a specific cartoon show.  So now I have a framed drawing of a certain moose pulling a rattlesnake out of a hat.  It is one of my most prized possessions.

  5. Committee Issues Subpoenas to State Department

After the State Department failed to meet a deadline for providing documents and making witnesses available, Chairman Waxman issued four subpoenas, including one for documents and three for depositions of State Department officials, regarding the Committee’s investigation into corruption in Iraq.
