Magnifico has already started making his marks with 4 at 4 and while it’s exactly the kind of feature I would have loved to see at 3…
I’ll think about dropping the 3 pm slot instead (though I’m leaving it available for now).
Why? Well because exmearden is available for 3 pm (and also 3 am) on a semi regular basis, but can only tend for an hour at 3 pm, so it could all work out very nicely.
Other conflicts with 4 at 4- Fridays with Robyn and Sundays with LithiumCola.
pinche tejano has already started making the mark too with Midnight Cowboy. Ride ’em, yee haw.
As you look at the rest of the schedule I don’t want you to be discouraged by the empty spaces because the bulk of it will hopefully get filled by promotion. If you commit to a time you don’t commit to original content necessarily. You do commit to tend your promotion, 90 minutes (with mulligans). So Say We All.
About using DocuDharmaAdmin Scheduling Dharma
First of all you have to join DocuDharmaAdmin. Do it now because I can’t figure out how to do it for you.
When you initially join you will only have access to the ‘Contact Us’ forum. melvin or Turkana or buhdy or On The Bus or I will have to give you the right permissions. This is the only way to get good security and it will happen within hours.
There will be diaries for each day, about a week’s worth. Each diary will contain the schedule for that day as best I know it, including the available slots.
Feel free to volunteer. Or ask for a mulligan, whatever, I’m not the kind of golfer who watches you hit a branch on your backswing and says, “That’s a stroke.”
Please do this as far in advance as you are able to plan.
I expect sometimes there will be conflicts. For the most part I’m expecting you to be able to work this out amongst yourselves because we’re all big boys and girls here.
When the day is done gone the sun. My clock runs from 6 am to 3 am. That’s a day and all times are Eastern.
The advance publishing feature runs Pacific. Do the math.
Past days schedule diaries will be archived (or at least hidden) so they’re not a distraction.
I expect the first week will be available by midnight.

… I did my Friday diary and set it up to post at 8 pm — but it turned out I set it to post at 8 pm pacific time. Are the times you are listing pacific time? I also checked the little boxes through September and part of October (I think) for it to be a repeat diary at that time and day. Can that be changed? Not a problem to do the diary 8 pm pacific (11 pm my time), but just wanted to know.
This is all new to me!
Sundays aren’t a problem with Four at Four scheduling since, technically, it is only M-F. I did an extra one on Saturday just for practice. I could not front page it too, and just put it in the diary list, I don’t mind.

i think this is a good thing to do… and it doesn’t necessarily have to be from the recommended diary list… we could each send one to the admins and let them decide
also, ek, what about CSI? i think she could really add to this joint and i mean on FP… she has some great stuff and powerful because it gives people an almost immediate ability to improve what they eat, shop, etc… i would heartily recommend to buhdy that we give her a spot there… and she doesn’t need to be contributing editor right away… i know buhdy thinks we are full enough right now… but that doesn’t mean we can’t give FP exposure for writers that will bring in readers
i feel same with Compound F (but i may have a small blog crush on him and be slightly biased… i can this now because NO ONE will tell him… just don’t tell me he’s 25 okay…)

budhy has history with some people, and I’m not anxious to get involved with that.

And as far as 3pm time slot goes, most of the time I can hang around for 90 minutes – just occasionally will I have to stay just an hour or so.
Like this upcoming Thursday. Seems like my “new again” employer has the company meeting on that day and I may have to attend, so I will be “disappeared” for the afternoon. I’m trying to figure out how to escape, but I may not be successful.
Can I switch with anyone for just Thursday this week only? (I will still do 3 AM (or midnight to me here in PDT) – no worries on that one).
