In presidential primary politics, money is the reward for good behavior. If a candidate does or says something people can get behind, something people can believe in, then he or she will be rewarded by campaign contributions. I think this a simple concept to understand.
Senator Hillary Clinton has had amazing success fund raising and her $50 Million Cash-on-Hand: $35M Primary, $15M General.
Proof positive that Everybody Loves Hillary.
Yup, everybody.
The Independent reports, Clinton bucks the trend and rakes in cash from the US weapons industry.
The US arms industry is backing Hillary Clinton for President and has all but abandoned its traditional allies in the Republican party…
Mrs Clinton’s wooing of the defence industry is all the more remarkable given the frosty relations between Bill Clinton and the military during his presidency. An analysis of campaign contributions shows senior defence industry employees are pouring money into her war chest in the belief that their generosity will be repaid many times over with future defence contracts…
After her election to the Senate, she became the first New York senator on the armed services committee, where she revealed her hawkish tendencies by supporting the invasion of Iraq. Although she now favours a withdrawal of US troops, her position on Iran is among the most warlike of all the candidates – Democrat or Republican…
So far, Mrs Clinton has received $52,600 in contributions from individual arms industry employees. That is more than half the sum given to all Democrats and 60 per cent of the total going to Republican candidates. Election fundraising laws ban individuals from donating more than $4,600 but contributions are often “bundled” to obtain influence over a candidate.
Yes, everyone loves Hillary. What’s not to love? She has “hawkish tendencies” and is “warlike”. Sure, she “favours a withdrawal” from Iraq… a withdrawal, maybe in four years. From the Democratic debate that was on September 26th, 2007 on MSNBC.
Clinton: Well, Tim, it is my goal to have all troops out by the end of my first term. But I agree with Barack; it is very difficult to know what we are going to be inheriting. Now, we do not know, walking into the White House in January of 2009 what we are going to find.
Okay, so it will take Clinton some time to clean up the Bush mess, understandable. But, withdrawal means withdrawal, right? Well…
CLINTON: Well, Tim, could I just clarify that, you know, I said there may be a continuing counterterrorism mission, which, if it still exists, will be aimed at Al Qaida in Iraq. It may require combat, special operations forces or some other form of that. But the vast majority of our combat troops should be out.
So, the same sort of “counterterrorism mission” that Bush has our troops involved presently in Iraq. To me, that doesn’t sound like much of a withdrawal after four years of another Clinton presidency. Then, there’s always her “hawkish tendencies” concerning Iran.
CLINTON: Yes. Let me respond.
My understanding of the Revolutionary Guard in Iran is that it is promoting terrorism. It is manufacturing weapons that are used against our troops in Iraq. It is certainly the main agent of support for Hezbollah, Hamas and others.
And in what we voted for today, we will have an opportunity to designate it as a terrorist organization which gives us the options to be able to impose sanctions on the primary leaders to try to begin to put some teeth into all this talk about dealing with Iran.
We wouldn’t be where we are today if the Bush administration hadn’t outsourced our diplomacy with respect to Iran and ignored Iran and called it part of the axis of evil. Now we’ve got to make up for lost time and lost ground…
Make up for lost time and lost ground! America needs an iron hand to guide us through these dangerous times. No wonder every arms manufacturer loves Hillary. She’s the leader of the pack of candidates in both money and “among the most warlike of all the candidates – Democrat or Republican”. Money talks and it is shouting “Everybody loves Hillary!”
Hillary Clinton has the right ideas, the right rhetoric, and the right supporters. She’s just right for America.

After eight years of what’s right for America, can the nation survive another four years of what’s right? Will there be any country left after four years of President Clinton?
absolutely no
Was worried that this was NOT a sarcastic essay. It is.
So I will shut up.
As a reminder to Hillary supporters, just review all of the SNL skits from when Bubba was Prez. and remember CORRECTLY the “good old days”.
Effing idiots.
and the source of it was the inability of any candidate to run on real issues, because of the grip of money, which has now been transfered to Hillary. I cannot believe what this primary the most important in my lifetime has become. She has sucked the air out of the real issues and limited our chances of change, by wrapping her crony capitalism in fake liberalism and inevitability. All issues are buried under her pile of loot. How can we as a nation be so fucking dumb?
were not much better, in the debate, when answering the 2013 question.
and now it’s going to be Ron Paul.
