    such a thing as a ‘little’ Mae West.  It took me five times to understand the line, so as a service to others so impaired:

    “It’s not the men in your life that counts, it’s the life in your men.”

    issued to RAF aircrew in WWII was known fondly as a “Mae West”.

    i wanted to give you a little exciting update:

    rose stood up today!!!  ok, so she isnt really consciously engaging her muscles, she’s more shifting her weight and engaging the increased tone in her quads…but still…she pushed up out of her chair with no ‘lifting’, only guidance..

    and she’s feeding herself with a spoon!!!  she has to use a built-up handle, but she’s mastered her ‘cylindrical grip’, and can scoop the food (pudding, in this case) and get it into her mouth!!

    so, therapy, though exhausting, is going pretty well so far!!

    Typical macho man married typical good-looking lady, and after the wedding, he laid down the following rules:
