Went to the doctor for what is likely a minor problem. If it doesn’t go away I am to have some tests in a month or so.
Here is the kicker…. my small issue is related to caffeine intake and so I must at least HALF my caffeine consumption. He made me list all of my caffeine sources and laughed and squeezed my hand. All I can say is super duper fuckety fuck.
I am already calculating trade offs: I would rather give up sodas than coffee and tea. I already know water is good for me… sigh…
These ponies are probably grouchy because somebody tried to take their caffeine away…
I’m gonna be prickly….
Alright maybe music will soothe the soul…
Stay and chit chat but please don’t rec the pony party, look at some other excellent diaries on our recent list or the FP.

I am still having my morning coffee, I am going to ditch or decrease the sodas….
sodas have tons of high-fructose corn syrup & god knows what else (benzine!)…besides they’re really NOT good for you. in jr high the sci teacher did this: 5gal bucket half full of coca-cola; drop in two big steaks; at the end of the day (5hrs)all that was left was the fatty bits. now whats that soda doing to your guts??
i too was told to have NO caffeine (because i have migraines) i actually tried this for two months(thats how bad my migraines are!)i had some results but still had migraines…
but that little foray left me less addicted to caffeine…I have 2-3 cups AM coffee, 1 afternoon cup; I drink green tea or celestial seasonings herb tea otherwise…cold & hot; and juice..lots of juice. Strangely enough this new regim really help w/my migraines… the herb teas especially.
get rid of ALL soda
find a good seltzer and cranberry juice to make your own
get coffee beans and rinse them in the seltzer… i believe it will alleviate the caffeine content
i love love the music… we need speakers everywhere and just play this and everything will be alright
You work in a health related environment (hospital?) and ALL they have are SODA machines?
Are they trying to drum up business?
Therefore, she might be taking care of herself well. I hope she is. Most of my friends in my age group in nursing are falling apart. I am the only supervisor in my office not to have had a major illness ( surgeries, cancer ect) and am starting to think I am next.
On that note, I think I will go do some exercise before I invent excuses.
