At his recent speech to WINEP, a hawkish think-tank founded 20 years ago by the research director of the influential lobby, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the architect of the Iraq war that has resulted in the deaths of up to a million human beings in Iraq and known paranoid lunatic Dick Cheney spoke out on the situation in Iran.

“The United States joins other nations in sending a clear message – we will not allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon.”

In the latest episode of his campaign to attack countries that have done no provable direct harm to The United States but just happen to sit on huge reserves of some of the planets last oil, lifetime oil man and famed brutal warmonger Cheney continued…

“Given the nature of Iran’s rulers, the declarations of the Iranian president, and the trouble the regime is causing throughout the region – including the direct involvement in the killing of Americans our country and the entire international community cannot stand by as a terror-supporting state fulfills its most aggressive ambitions,” Cheney warned in a major policy address to the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.

In a speech eerily and frighteningly similar to those he gave as he lied the United States into attacking and unmercifully slaughtering the people of Iraq to fulfill his slavering bloodlust, the dangerously unbalanced Vice-President with access to nuclear weapons stated…

“The Iranian regime needs to know that if it stays on its present course, the international community is prepared to impose serious consequences,”

Known for his self serving rationalizations for patently insane actions such as destroying his own countries intelligence agencies through outing high level covert agents and intelligence networks involved in stemming the spread of nuclear weapons, the author of the Plame Treason went on to claim that Iran had…

“direct involvement in the killings of Americans”

Even though there is currently an effort by parts of his own government to impeach him for his blatant manipulations of intelligence, fearmongering and outright lies, the rabid instigator of mass murder fairly foamed at the mouth as he said that Iran was…

“greatest strategic threat that Iraq’s Shi’ites face today in consolidating their rightful role in Iraq’s new democracy is the subversive activities of the Iranian regime”.

Just days after his co-conspirator President George Bush raised the specter of World War…

“I’ve told people that if you’re interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing [Iran] from having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon,”

…prompting Iran to replace its negotiator with a more hardline representative. All indications point to the fact that Iran takes the threats of the bellicose and provocative engineers of Americas Torture, Rendition and Secret Prison Network very seriously.

As the people of the world strive for peace…they can only look on in horror as the nuclear bully the United States has become once again prepares to illegally attack and murder the citizens of yet another sovereign nation. No motion has been detected in the United States Congress towards impeachment or other methods of reigning in the clearly insane and out of control Vice President, unmistakably signaling to the people of the world that they are behind Cheney’s attempts too plunge the world into Nuclear Armageddon.

  2. A spine please.  People on the hill feel like they can just run amok because nobody checks them!  Our Democratic leaders are getting people killed for no reason other than they are sure they will remain in power and feel that a spine is not a needed accessory and conscience clashes with their outfit….and the world continues to watch us and wonders what has become of us all.

There is a struggle within the administration over this course–I don’t think Cheney is winning this one. An Iranian war, as I understand from what little sources I have, is something the foreign-policy establishment in CIA, State, and the Pentagon is more or less opposed to. They will be there when interational tribunals start poking around Cheney and Bush and make their ability to travel outside the country difficult.

Having said that, sure we are in big danger, but if you read between the lines the arguments for war are not sticking in the MSM, i.e., the propaganda organs. If they start all playing the same chords as they did with Iraq, then worry. Of course, it is always possible that Bush/Cheney will overule the bureaucracy and do something crazy–they do have have some fanatical support particularly within the Air Force and the covert/black ops community but I don’t think it is enough.

I’ve said this before–but I think Pelosi/Reid made a deal with the Bush administration to not go for impeachment or the extraordinary corruption that surrounds every single aspect of the the Iraq War/Occupation in exchange of no new wars in the region. Pelosi/Reed have the solid backing of Wall Street and the City of London on this which is why you don’t see the usual propaganda campaign.

It will be war with Russia. Maybe China too. But Russia at least.

    They want that.

  3. message gets right to the heart of our national nightmare. All the other issues all revolve around the issue of profit from death and destruction. In order to stop this we have to get our national obsession with winning and bullying everyone who lives on this planet in order to feed the real bad guys, the ones who pay us off with visions of sugar plums, called national interest,  security or life styles. Trouble is it’s systemic and feeling particularly bitter today I see no way to remove the tentacles of the real terrorists the global faceless corporations that pull the strings. About that swamp Nancy?

  4. If the true concern were nuclear threat, there’s infinitely more to behold about North Korea.

    Here’s the deal:

“The United States joins other nations in sending a clear message – we will not allow Iran to have a non-US dollar-denominated oil market.”

some of his Leibstandarte….er….security detail might well reach the conclusion that it is past time for him to move on. But that would be madness…wouldn’t it?

Talking to THEM won’t help. They are insane. Babbling insane.

Talk to Pelosi and the Democrats…

“My father made him an offer he couldn’t refuse… Luca Brasi held a gun to his head, and my father assured him that either his brains, or his signature would be on the contract”.

    Never Give An Inch

    Ever.

The evangelist conducting those breakfast prayer meetings in the executive dining room for the Defense Secretary and upper echelon Pentagon brass and administrative management INSIDE the Pentagon’s E-Ring, is James Kennedy:

‘We Could Control This Country’: 33 Extreme Reasons to Give Bush the Boot

Of course, there are plenty more extremist groups out there, with plenty of clout. And in addition to sharing an incestuous relationship (Famed Reconstructionist Dr. George Grant, for example, is affiliated with Coral Ridge Ministries, which is run by former National Council for Policy member D. James Kennedy, who sat on the board of directors of Jerry Falwell’s Moral Majority, which was also organized by Tim LaHaye), they seem to be driven by a single-minded determinism. “There are forty million people who claim to have been converted. If every one of those would simply win one other person to Christ, we could control this country,” televangelist Kennedy once said.

On the other hand, America is still the home of great thinkers who would surely fight back. “Our president is a Christian? So was Adolf Hitler,” Kurt Vonnegut recently wrote, proving that not everyone grasps the compassion of these conservatives.

And that’s the thing. These folks are not promoting the promise of America at her best, but are instead advocating the ills the Founders tried to protect against. They are striving to remake American in their stark revisionist image, and in doing so, are aiming for what America could become, at her worst.

The Christian Embassy HAS AN OFFICE in the Pentagon’s inner ring. They don’t merely have access, they are a PERMANENT FIXTURE. Talk about the scariest brand of church/state intermingling.  So much for the peacemakers.
