“We The People!” -Charlie Chaplin Speaks…

(Yell On KrisC!!! …@6 – promoted by buhdydharma )

I ask you to watch the video below, let it empower you, as it has empowered me!
I am going to Boston on Saturday for the demonstration, and this video has given me so much inner strength…
I will yell, yes, I will yell very loudly…
I want my voice heard…
I want to inspire all those who haven’t yet decided to stand up for what they believe in…
I don’t want to have to set up another “Arlington East” on my beach…

I encourage ALL able bodies to get to a demonstration near you, there is no finer moment in history…we are knee deep in a fascist, warmongering state, we MUST trudge through the crap before we can rise ourselves up and out of this mess we find ourselves in.

Let Us All Unite!

This speech was taken from the wonderful Charlie Chaplin movie “The Great Dictator”.
It still applies today, it is just as relevant at it was in 1940 when he starred in and directed the movie.  From Wikipedia

The Great Dictator is a film directed by and starring Charlie Chaplin. First released in October, 1940, it bitterly satirizes Nazism and Adolf Hitler, culminating in an overt political plea to defy fascism.

The film is exceptional in its period, in the days prior to American entry into World War II, as the United States was still formally at peace with Nazi Germany. Well before the full extent of the horrors of Nazism had been uncovered, Chaplin’s film advanced a stirring, controversial condemnation of Hitler, fascism, and the Nazis, the latter of whom he excoriates in the film as “machine men, with machine minds and machine hearts”.[1]

The film was Chaplin’s first “talkie”, and his most commercially successful film.

If you will, share with us the message you take to the streets this weekend…
Be strong.
Be peaceful.
Be heard.
Stand together.
YELL LOUDER!

We all need to be out in the streets.  We can make a difference.  There are no words to describe how it feels when you get out and demonstrate either.  It’s a total feeling of love, and unity.

    See you there!

  1. essay. I have been derailed lately by mainly the politics which seems such an exercise in futility and despair, we can and will over come. . All my life I operated as much as possible outside the system. My generation  felt did it’s part and I went to sleep, politically. Democracy and human justice need constant nurturing or the worst of our natures and the ones who use us creep in and poison the well, over and over. Thank you, you have renewed my belief, in this age old battle. False truths and marketing can’t mask what is at stake here. Peace.
