If someone would be so kind, I have some questions I would like answered.
I must leave for the evening, so I will check back in the morning to see if anyone responds.
FWIW, the questions are important to me this evening, and relate to larger questions rattling around my noggin’.
Question the First:
What the hell happened with Pluto?
OK, I saw the sig line problem. Then I saw the demand to have the comments deleted. Then I saw what appeared to be a demand on Buhdy to pick sides. By both parties involved if I’m not mistaken. Then I saw Pluto get very upset and delete all her/his essays. Then, again if I’m not mistaken, now I can’t see a damn thing Pluto has ever written here. Comments included.
WTF?
Question the Second:
What is the site policy on ultimatums?
Ultimatums are a dangerous business. Usually, a site participant will say – ‘you better do this Mr. or Mrs. site owner or I’m outta here’. They almost always don’t end well for the person making the ultimatum.
But I’m curious, what is the site policy, if there is one, when you guys see an ultimatum from a user and or a front page writer?

What the friggen’ hell is going on around here tonight?
Question the Fourth:
This is a vent, but strangely I think it’s topical to what’s happening here these past few days. Am I the only person who was really pissed off when Fabooj decided she had to leave dKos at the end of October? She was pissed beyond belief over the whole Harvey Milk mess. I was very unhappy to see what appeared to be very little outreach to her over the issue. Yes, she wanted Harvey banned. But so did a lot of other folks. When he wasn’t banned, I believe site admins should have made a special effort to reach out to those who most objected to his remaining there. For those who don’t know, HM posted a blackface image on dKos. To me, a very half-hearted effort was made to keep Fabooj happy. And Fabooj just happens to be one of the coolest people I ever ‘met’ online.
OK, fine.
That’s all I got.
Leaving for evening. And pretty discouraged on the way out the virtual door.

re Pluto was self-administered.
Except the sig line that was a quote from Armando, intended to inflame, imo. When she refused to change it we deleted it. Which sucks. I wasn’t asking her to choose sides, just remove the sig line.
Apparently she has deleted everything.
I tried to reach out but her e-mail was deleted as well. I have reached out to everyone I could and will continue to do so.
… I also was very upset when fabooj left.
It wasn’t just the Harvey Milk thing, she had been unhappy at the site for a long time. She couldn’t handle the racial insensitivity.
Which, btw, is why I have been so adamant about the subject here at docudharma.
I read the blogs by people of color — they point out very clearly why they won’t post either at Daily Kos or, frankly, at this site (even tho this site is not mentioned by name).
And their objections aren’t what you would think, either. It’s interesting stuff. Nezua over at The Unapologetic Mexican wrote some great stuff on it, he attended Yearly Kos through the program Kid Oakland founded.
I’m going to go to sleep too, I’m beat.
Don’t be discouraged. I hope Pluto will come back, but it’s ultimately her decision. She has a lot of conflicts about blogging anyway and had a very bad experience at another blog she alluded to in a comment to me — she feels she isn’t an asset to a blog. I of course disagree, even though I didn’t like the sig line stuff.
