I’d thought that Philly was all but guaranteed. I’m not going to Texas. Not in the summer.

I’m not sure what you all are complaining about. It’s a great, very blue town with a vibrant music and film scene – plus it’s relatively cheap compared to cities like Chicago (which was rough on the wallet). And it’ll bring a lot of press about Democratic issues into the local papers and tv outlets, so the rest of Texas is going to be exposed to it, as well.
Seriously, it’s about as close to ideal as you can get for this kind of meetup.
