The Most Terrifying Halloween Story Ever Told

Imagine there was a beautiful planet.

Imagine it was inhabited by billions of sentient beings.

Imagine the most technologically advanced of those beings was in the process of poisoning that planet for everyone.

Imagine that all life was at risk.

Imagine that those most technologically advanced beings were, as T.S. Eliot once put it, too

distracted from distraction by distraction

to do anything about it.

Imagine those most technologically advanced beings were even putting the survival of their own species at risk.

Imagine time was running out.

Imagine those most technologically advanced beings were actually making things worse, not better.

Imagine.

The horror.

A lawless American government, inside the worldwide ponzi scheme of globalism, inside a worldwide political dominance by thugs, gangsters, and theives,  inside a collapsing ecology.

  1. trick or treaters are knocking, they are benevolent, be they vampires, princesses or ghosts. The scary things you speak of Tukana, may they not haunt these goblins and ghosts at my door. Horrors ignored are left for the wee ones playing with fear never knowing what we their protectors are leaving for them to reap. Scary indeed and not such a good harvest season.

    say/type something.

Then I realized that I would just raise another shit-storm, get a WHOLE lot of people royally pissed off at me, and for what?

I have NO disagreements with Turkana’s essay.

    Enough.

    P.S. Now watch what happens.

  2. …just an hour after my post on a similar topic. Although I must say that our approaches couldn’t be more different.

    Nice work Turkana!

  3. is a global, ecologically sustainable society.

Am I far off the mark?

    What are you proactive ideas?

  4. the thread of Turkana’s thoughts in the catacombs of all these comments.
    Imagine–
    The horror–

  5. Imagine there’s no heaven
    It’s easy if you try
    No hell below us
    Above us only sky
    Imagine all the people
    Living for today…

    Imagine there’s no countries
    It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
    And no religion too
    Imagine all the people
    Living life in peace…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

    Imagine no possessions
    I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
    A brotherhood of man
    Imagine all the people
    Sharing all the world…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

  6. … happen, the first time is put down to an “asteroid hitting the earth”, since the intelligent, world spanning species of dinosaur evolved so rapidly and then destroyed the planet in such a short time spans as geographic reckoning goes that they had not yet showed up in the fossil record, except for the blanket of pollution they left before the world-ending war including the bunker-busting asteroids.
