Chaos

Our government planning to read all of your e-mail.

Rampant inflation.

Nuclear armed state trains …and then loses control of terrorist groups (ht, mishima)

Cloned food endorsed by FDA

China says do not fear our massive military build-up

Bush arming the Saudis to buy support

Chaos in the straits of Hormuz

Lynchpin in CIA tapes destruction case not yet given immunity to testify

Corporate media deciding our elections

Surge in Afghanistan

Vets still getting screwed

A clueless and confused Congress

And the worst President ever in free fall

No end in sight, no leaders on the horizon, candidates bickering over smears instead of issues, and the spiral into chaos just keeps accelerating while all we can do is sit by with our mouths agape in horror.

No one is in charge, no one seems to have a clue as to what to do….

Have a nice day!

Sorry to be a bummer, folks….but as Walter Cronkite used to say…..That’s The Way It Is.

Time to build a new world, this one is falling even further aprt than usual.

  2. …here’s the raw story item on the cyber-security plan…

  3. concerns me the most.

  4. All you say is way too true, buhdy.  But, whenever I get really down about all of the above, I remember the day (and I’m dating myself here 😉 when “Uncle Walter” came on the TV to tell us that our navy just fired a warning shot over the bow of a Russian navy ship headed to Cuba.  I was a kid at the time, but I still vividly remember thinking that it was going to end with JFK & Kruschev pushing their Nuke buttons & incinerating entire US & USSR cities–within the matter of a few hours.

We’ve been at the brink before & come back–let’s hope we can manage to do so again.

BTW–Note to CIA, FBI, NSA, DHS, etc–don’t you guys have anything better to do with your time–time that OUR taxdollars are paying for??

  5. an idea, it would work too. IMPEACH the bastard and all the kings men with him. Oh yeah, we can’t if we did that would mean that our ‘leaders’ have been sticking their hands in the cookie jar too. Besides it’s off the table. Where did they put it?

    Chaos
  6. entrenched in the rut of power.

Like a truck stuckin the mud, their only option is to gun it, only to sink in deeper.

Sooner or later, the next generations will politiely tell the ‘grown-ups’ to get the fuck out of the truck cab, put some cadrboard under the tires, and gently get America out of the mud and muck the dear ‘leaders’ have gotten her stuck in.

Or we can get a real third party, based on ideals of citizenship, instead of out-dated political ideology.

The 60s are over, no more hippie vs hawk.

The 60s are over, no more blue vs red.

The 60s are over, no more Demcrat vs Republican.

Seriously, baby boomers, the 60s are over, let’s move the hell on out of this construct you have created for modern American politics.

No matter what happens, it’s sure to be a wild ride!  Even the best possible leader would have difficulty with this scenario.  If I could give everyone a gift it would be clear thinking, free from irrational fear based reactions, balanced with a healthy dose of action inducing motivation.

I always wonder if “we” would actually trust someone who said all the right things and seemed to have the solutions the myriad of problems we face.  Is there someone who actually would look at these issues and see them as opportunities rather than problems.  That’s quite a stretch I know.  It seems trite to think of a physical threat as a possibility or opportunity.  It seems like even the best candidates and most progressively attractive are using “in the box” thinking.

I shouldn’t be trying to write this at work. I want to spin out into more complicated reasoning.  This is not the place and I’m not sure I can effectively go there.

  7. I finally go to bed to get some sleep after a hard night of work and I miss chaos. I keep thinking one day after waking up I am going to find out the world ended and nobody bothered to tell me to get up.

    Why we need leaders?

Why does any of this make a difference?

Everyone I’ve met here is smart enough to make enough money to get out (I explain it all the time).

You don’t NEED a country. It’s the 21st century, for godsake.

Is this “country thingy” spaghetti code (old programming)? Let’s just move on and reassemble elsewhere.
