Pony Party, NFL Round-up

ive got a week to think about next monday’s pony party….hmmmmm…

  1. to another sport or move on to something else? Oh…. after thinking I was clever in my hockey pools I am sucking wind big time. Middle or bottom. Bleh. A few years ago I won a few yahoo pools, not this year.

    reached a pitch last night that even had ME turn on the game…

    i caught it after the TD and saw the extra point… those last 35 seconds. i called my sister (a woman after the hearts of 73rd and ucc) who said she wore out her carpet pacing for four hours.

    “This is the most EXCITING Super Bowl I’ve ever seen,” she said breathlessly. I add breathlessly because, in fact, she was.

    we can get back to the real issue this week, the profound and direct struggle between one side grounded in thoughtful principles, comity, and liberality, with roots in the desegregation struggle, and the other side defined by corporate drabness, elitism, and willingness to compromise with evil to achieve victory …

    I refer, of course, to the Carolina/Dook game on Wednesday. Still waiting to hear the full results of Ty Lawson’s injury after they size up today’s practice. At least someone finally showed Hansborough the entry for “rebound” in the dictionary again, with some useful illustrations, before the FSU game (Florida freakin’ State ? The Semi-Holes ? That does not take overtime, guys.) We need Lawson back, I think, to face the devils in blue (they even named themselves that, how is it not obvious ? 😉
