let me give into this delirium
dancing, pounding, jumping
do you feel it?
the foundation’s shaking
in the flick of a voting lever
we’re fresh. unbound.
absent 1000s of years of civilization
and free to reconfigure it
cause we got ideas
we’re an amalgamation
a cross-pollination
not belonging to any nation
yeah! we got ideas
all of us refugees
… from the way it should be
to how we fucking define it to be
time to stand clear
cause we got ideas
and only a few hundred years of baggage
we’re pushing-the-fuck-back
with five beats to every measure
sure. we’re scared. shitless.
but we’re not afraid to act
heh. we have ideas.
just one thing though… guys… um… anybody know who’s got the list????
good on you america. voting day is always a good day.

But it is then dumped into an ESS machine. I spoke with the election people manning my precinct and questioned the machine and how all was ultimately processed. Well, first of all, when you go there to vote, they ask you if you’re Republican or Democrat, and mark a sheet they have on you. The machine’s count is then matched up to the responses given by voters and quits there, but if there is discrepancy, they are able to track it very easily and quickly.
On a sad note, however, was the fact that Gavel, Richardson, Kucinich, Edwards, Obama, and Clinton were ALL on the ballot. It was hard for me not to select Kucinich, as I originally planned to when he was still in the running, or, then, Edwards. I felt a tug at my heart as I voted — I went Obama all the way. Don’t get me wrong, I like Obama and always have and think he is dynamic and charismatic, but he is corporately backed and, well, I think you get my drift. No, Kucinich is not charismatic, he was just the TRUTH and a fighter.
You’ll make me embarrassed! I’ve never done well when I feel people are praising me too much.
P.S. Sent moneysmith an email. I hope I conveyed my thoughts well enough.
not for us… for you!
if you feel like it we’ll happily read it…
but it really sounds like you Need to write.
This must have happened while I was gone. I’m so sorry to
hear this. 🙁
Oh pf {{{{{{pf8}}}}}}
Sorry about the confusion! I was out of town until this afternoon and came home to find no inter-tube access, so I couldn’t even post a comment. Apparently, whatever was wrong was fixed while I was in class, but the neighbor said it was out for days.
Anyway, I’m here — love this poem/essay, pf8!!!
Indeed, we do! Let’s get busy!!
you still up?
just heard from money…she’s been out of town & was offline for several days
seems all is fine
Got your email. Thanks! So very glad.
Again, if you see a BP, don’t let that stop you (or any of the rest of the regulars!) from hosting a PP. If the BP catches on (anyone can write one, after all), we may never see another PP again if you don’t go ahead and post them. Those PPs are scheduled and well planned (or seem that way, at least). They should remain a timely feature. BPs are random and chaotic. I think they complement each other. Plus it adds another element of yin yang to the site that I think speaks volumes about the kind of community we have.
I love this place! And I look forward to your next PP!
nocatz yelled at me. (looks around) just wanted to tell you before he gets here. he actually called me insane.
hope the Pony slots are worked out. i look for yours on Tuesday Nights at 6, if that changes, please let me know!
