From TPM. More Infuriating Video of Bushco Idiocy, Lies

From Talking Points Memo a compilation of Doug Feith’s recent appearance on the talk shows, trying to make money of off Iraq hawking his book. Or, as TPM titled it: Stupidest Guy on Earth Speaks Out. Some things videos are just better for, the impact of this editing is pretty damn stunning…and pretty damn damning. Stuff we all knew, but cut together so well……well, just watch it!

But have something non-breakable nearby to throw! (I use rolled up socks!)

Of course it’s horrific!  Never, ever tell the truth about the Republican Party of Greed again.  We aren’t here to deal in truths but in pain.  You got that, asswipe?

  5. 60 minutes piece and wondering how such an idjit got into a position of so much power. I mean…who looked at this guy and said, “Yeah, I want him working for me”???

And my next thought was, oh wait…we’re talking Cheney. So I guess any robot that does what they’re told will do.

Its the perfect storm of idiocy and evil. Almost unbearable to watch the results.

Oh, and thanks for the tip about the socks. Now, what ideas do you have for the knots in my stomach?

  6. Tommy Franks may have been right.

(But I don’t know for sure, ’cause I haven’t met everyone on the face of the earth yet.)

  7. In a 2004 article on Douglas Feith, Slate offered this:

Of all the revelations that have surfaced about the Abu Ghraib prison-abuse scandal so far, the least surprising is that Douglas Feith may be partly responsible. Not a single Iraq war screw-up has gone by without someone tagging Feith-who, as the Defense Department’s undersecretary for policy, is the Pentagon’s No. 3 civilian, after Donald Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz-as the guy to blame. Feith, who ranks with Wolfowitz in purity of neoconservative fervor, has turned out to be Michael Dukakis in reverse: ideology without competence.

And Feith goes way back, having been involved in the Iran-Contra games of the 1980s
