Ed Gillespie, Counselor to the President wrote this letter to Steve Capus, President, NBC News.
Amazingly enough they have no problem with O’raly’s Fox-step right bias but lay these complaints at the feet of NBC:
I’m sure you don’t want people to conclude that there is really no distinction between the “news” as reported on NBC and the “opinion” as reported on MSNBC, despite the increasing blurring of those lines. I welcome your response to this letter, and hope it is one that reassures your broadcast network’s viewers that blatantly partisan talk show hosts like Christopher Matthews and Keith Olbermann at MSNBC don’t hold editorial sway over the NBC network news division.
Capus, bless his heart, replied (in part):
“Just as the White House does not participate in the editorial process at the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal or USA Today, NBC News, as part of a free press in a free society, makes its own editorial decisions,” NBC said in a statement.
NPR has a nice version of this story in a 4 min 50 second clip, if you prefer.
Now, the Preznit makes side swipes at Obama by saying negotiation is appeasement, but reporting that is considered undercutting the credibility of a network?
“Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along.”
What the fuck? When preznit babbled his answer to the question Engel asked “if he was referring to Obama in his speech”, he babbled for 10 minutes. So they cut it to the core answer:
“You know, my policies haven’t changed, but evidently the political calendar has.”
They cut his pro-Israel propaganda at the end. How dare they?
They dare because they have BALLS enough to stand up, just like the balls KO shows nightly calling O’raly on the carpet for his lies.
The WH is mad about the strong liberal bent of MSNBC undercutting their transcribing right wing fascist propagandists at FAUX.
What next, pulling press credentials for any reporter who doesn’t suck the glass neo-con crack pipe?

I’m most honored.
NBC’s response had been:
But that’s just because it would give me a smile.
More seriously, given that NBC is probably covering for the White House on that analyst scandal, I am a bit surprised that the White House would push their luck like this.
…good for NBC to not put up with their nonsense any longer.
Good to see a news org standing up for the independent press. I’ve actually decided to log into their website more after this.
