Is Everybody In?

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usIs everybody in?

Is everybody in?

Is everybody in?

The ceremony is about to begin.

Wake Up!

You can’t remember where it was

Had this dream stopped?

Choose they croon the Ancient Ones

The time has come again

Choose now, they croon

Beneath the moon

Beside an ancient lake

Enter again the sweet forest

Enter the hot dream

Come with us

Everything is broken up and dances.

The movie will begin in five moments

The mindless voice announced

All those unseated will await the next show.

We filed slowly, languidly into the hall

The auditorium was vast and silent

As we seated and were darkened, the voice continued…….

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usWe have assembled inside this ancient

& insane theatre

To propagate our lust for life

& flee the swarming wisdom

Of the streets

The barns are stormed

The windows kept

& only one of all the rest

To dance & save us

With the divine mockery

Of words

Music inflames temperament

(When the true King’s murderers

Are allowed to roam free

A 1000 Magicians arise in the land)

Where are the feasts

We are promised

Where is the wine

The New Wine

(dying on the vine)

Resident mockery

Give us an hour for magic

We of the purple glove

We of the starling flight

& velvet hour

We of arabic pleasures’s breed

We of sundome & the night

Give us a creed

To believe

America, this is our moment. This is our time, our time to turn the page on the policies of the past

… our time to bring new energy and new ideas to the challenges we face, our time to offer a new direction for this country that we love.

The journey will be difficult. The road will be long. I face this challenge – I face this challenge with profound humility and knowledge of my own limitations, but I also face it with limitless faith in the capacity of the American people.

Because if we are willing to work for it, and fight for it, and believe in it, then I am absolutely certain that, generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless…

… this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal…

… this was the moment when we ended a war, and secured our nation, and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth.

This was the moment, this was the time when we came together to remake this great nation so that it may always reflect our very best selves and our highest ideals.

The Rebirth of a Nation 2009

  1. Time to believe in something again. It will take us believing and participating to make it work. If it all falls apart later so be it. For now….I’m in.

I have to believe politicians again?

I can’t just believe in what they do? Instead of in what they say they’ll do?

This is going to be a tough one for me, I think.

  2. This is a start in the RIGHT direction, we hope.

Obama has the right slant, I do believe, but so many of his efforts will be hampered.

It’s not like this evil we have/are experiencing will go away over night.  Unless there is some kind of accounting of these officials in office currently, which would also affect their corporate buddies, there will be work being done in the “shadows.”  The same kind that we have seen for near eight years now.

Nonetheless, we now have more hope than we had before — and hope is just about all we have, at this point!
