Michael Philip Jagger was born in Dartford, Kent on 26th July 1943. When he was 4 he met Keith Richards until they went into secondary schools and lost touch. But one day in 1960 they accidentally met on the Dartford train line and both realised that they had an interest in rock n roll combined with blues. Between 1960-1962 The Rolling Stones formed. It comprised of Mick on lead vocal and harmonica, Keith Richards on guitar, Bill Wyman on bass, Charlie Watts on drums and Brian Jones on guitar. Link
Join me below as the UK commemorates this grand event……
Mick Jagger turns 65 on July 26, 2008. Tomorrow, he will officially be a senior citizen and enter his golden years. Despite Jagger’s personal fortune of £225million or so, this historic ocassion will make him a pensioner of the state; and as such, he will receive entitlement to :
* a basic state pension
* free bus travel
* free prescriptions
* help with home insulation through his gas and electricity provider
* free dental treatment
* free sight tests and vouchers towards the cost of glasses or contact lenses
* council tax benefits
* winter fuel payments and child tax credits
Plus he can claim social fund payments to help him with small one-off expenses such as buying a cooker or bedding, or funeral costs –snip–
And anyway the rubber-lipped figurehead for 1960s rebellion, who has also graced the cover of Saga magazine, is showing no sign of Fading Away in his twilight years.
And who can blame him? His band is as popular as ever, he is dating the jaw-droppingly stunning L’WREN SCOTT . . . and in five years’ time he will be entitled to free roof insulation.
If other countries can do all of this, why in the hell can’t we even have health care for our kids?
Happy 65th Birthday

Thanks for the recommends, but you guys forgot to say hi.
Just enjoying the golden years. 😉
I met a gin soaked, bar-room queen in Memphis,
She tried to take me upstairs for a ride.
She had to heave me right across her shoulder
Cause I just can’t seem to drink you off my mind.

Taking a week or so and going up north to the lake. Watch Mick for me.
My Russian boss says. Now when he says that he does not mean “socialist” in the sense that one gets stuff for free he means it in the sense of the control freakishness of “The Party”, The KGB, The Stasi and all of the authoritarian controls shithead governments place on people. The only difference is that here in the US the same KGB style of control is accomplished more by social norms or the complexities of government regulations.
At least in Europe governments were interrupted by something called WWII so the levels of corruption in government and the levels of multi-national corporate ownership of European government is at a different place than here at “home”. Yeah there is this cultural difference and and all but really while Europeans pay high taxes the people still get real tangible benefits. In the US taxes might be slightly less but the only benefits citizens get out of it is the support of Satan.
It is the wonderful Pavlovian media experiment of media and culture that convinces Joe Six Pack, mouth breather and supporter of the War of Terror that “those Frogs” live under socialism.
like the kind we get here in the US where the free market allows manufacturers to make only the highest quality home insulation. By getting the government involved we end up with poor socialist insulation and have to wait for hours in waiting rooms to get that!
