John McCain is wrong …wrong for America

John McCain believes the answer is war …Barack Obama believes the answer is peace. Which pathway will be the choice of Americans?

McCain is adamant in describing his America as one in which Americans will sit atop the mountain of the world’s bountifulness and mercilessly fight off the aspirations of our global brothers and sisters. McCain would build high fences around the perimeter of the United States, send our armies and navies out into the valley below to crush those who aspire to ascend to higher ground, to peaks of their own. McCain sees America in his own self-image …as selfish, me-firsters…. His claim of America First is a very personal mantra.

To John McCain, America is John McCain. He is not seeking the blessings of American prosperity for all Americans. He reserves the bounty of America for the .05% of Americans within the John and Cindy McCain wealth category and higher. The John McCain, personifying the ugly face of the Republican platform, the Republican Party, is what’s wrong with America. McCain fights to keep secure his acquired stature in the American wealth structure elite. The bulk of his supporters are of like circumstances, the same grossly ill-informed mind-set, and/or those who see profit in perpetuating America as a belligerent on the world stage. It’s time for a change.

I couldn’t believe that McCain would have such a cynical view of the intelligence level of America’s people that he would attempt to run against the past eight years of his Party’s incumbency. But, it seems, that McCain will attempt to sell the American people on putting him and his running mate into the White House. Now, according to McCain, they got it all wrong the last eight years …remember McCain’s 90% alignment with the decisions of the last eight years. McCain votes validate Bush policies nine out of ten times where he has been given the opportunity to cast his lot. Yet, he would have us believe that he is a change agent. My friends, that is total bullshit. McCain wants to keep the status quo and he wants to build on the Republican platform on which the George W. Bush, Republican administration has raped this country for the past eight years. Rape victims, understandably, are reluctant to talk of their rape. As country loving Americans, we cannot let this reluctance to speak out about this horrible, criminal act hold us back from condemning the rapist and those who would continue the rape of our great, but suffering nation. For the sake of the country in which we live and our people, we need to throw the rascals and their proposed successors out.

Ask yourself:

  • Should it be the role of America to field a military that has a mission to invade countries at the whim of fabricated policies of a corrupt Administration, or should the military be held in reserve and used as a last resort only after diplomacy has been vigorously pursued, and only after a declaration of war by the Congress?

The McCain-Bush doctrine would have the military locked and loaded with a hair-trigger set to fire on anyone knocking on the door of our country’s interests around the world.

  • Should we be a country that shoots first, even before our global neighbor speaks, even before we know the neighbor’s intentions?

Some would argue that to absolutely guarantee that anyone approaching our hill, whether they wish us well or intend to do harm, must be shot-down, eliminated without verbal interaction. These folks, many driven by the teachings of their misguided clergy mentors, think of themselves as the saintly with everyone else being of the devil. This cast out the devil syndrome pervades the Republican Party. This, we the saintly versus them the devil, is at the center of our current government’s world policies. McCain will keep this emphasis should we have the misfortune of his being elected to the presidency. God (the real one, not the Republicans’ mean spirited version) help us.

  • Should the ideological views of any one group, religious or otherwise be codified into the country’s laws?
  • Will this nation survive a Supreme Court of additional Clarence Thomas’?

McCain, if elected, will likely have the opportunity to appoint two or three to the Court in his administration …if you think that you may be comfortable with McCain appointing Justices …just remember Sarah Palin.

  • Will John McCain or Barack Obama best meet the needs of Americans in health care policies, the environment, peace, education, taxes, immigration policies, energy alternatives, among other domestic needs?
  • Is McCain a good neighbor to the world?

When George W. Bush was named President, I was sad. But, I surmised, a President in one or two terms cannot do great harm to our nation. I believed that cooler heads would prevail …that there would be a natural governing process …that there would be constraints applied by a collection of advisers would steadfastly defend the country’s interests first and the President secondly. Obviously, that has not proven to be the case. George Bush has bankrupted this nation, dropped us from that shining beacon on the hill that the people of the world admired to, in many country’s estimations, a pariah loosened upon the world …from a peace loving country to a belligerent. John McCain would take the record of Bush … a record that McCain so vigorously supported and finish the job of putting the United States of America into a death spiral.

John McCain is wrong for President …and most certainly not good for the United States of America.
