Little Judy, Happy at Last

I’m sure most of you remember Judy Miller.  You know, the New York Times reporter who carried water for the Republicans in the lead-up to the Iraq War?  The good friend of the criminal Scooter Libby, who sent her cute little notes about aspens turning color in the fall?

Well now Judy has found a home that suits her to a “T”!  I’m so happy for her.

Judy is joining Fox News!

Miller will be an on-air analyst and will write for Fox’s Web site. “She has a very impressive resume,” says Senior Vice President John Moody. “We’ve all had stories that didn’t come out exactly as we had hoped. It’s certainly something she’s going to be associated with for all time, and there’s not much anyone can do about that, but we want to make use of the tremendous expertise she brings on a lot of other issues. . . . She has explained herself and she has nothing to apologize for.”

Yes, there have been so many reporters who have helped turn the country towards war with a sovereign nation that did not attack us.

Judy Miller and Fox News:  A Perfect Fit.

there’s still a fair sized market for lies, I guess.

Judy and Glenn Beck will feel right at home there.  They probably have contests to see who can make up the most outrageous lies and get people to believe them.  And with Fox viewers, thats pretty easy.

  2. my reaction was “How appropriate.”

I’m just hoping that Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann are looking for work soon too. I’m sure Faux News would just love to have the two of them on board!

  3. “We’ve all had stories that didn’t come out exactly as we had hoped.”

May I say as a writer of fiction that that’s a problem only for people who report facts.  I wish I could say that truthfully about Judy, but she’d have to jump genre to have this particular problem.

  4. Apparently helping her government lie the country into a war that’s killed 10,000’s of thousands of people, including 4,000+ Americans isn’t worthy of apology in the narcissistic world of Judith Miller.   She’ll be in the company of kindred soul-less ones when she joins the foxonian neo-con propagandists.

  5. Sooner or later.

is why John Moody and Fox News are so determined to go after, associate themselves with, and restrict themselves to the smallest and most rapidly shrinking political market there is.

Maybe if they tried refocussing on larger markets they’d have no need to stoop so low as to bringing in the Judy Millers of “journalism”, and that would also leave a pool of so called “talent” for rags like the National Enquirer to recruit from?

Heh. Here’s hoping Judy has a nice day. 😉
