The Perils of Non-Impeachment

(8 am. – promoted by ek hornbeck)

J*#@%s F&(#%+g C&$!@t!  From tomorrow’s NYT:

The Labor Department is racing to complete a new rule, strenuously opposed by President-elect Barack Obama, that would make it much harder for the government to regulate toxic substances and hazardous chemicals to which workers are exposed on the job.

snip

Public health officials and labor unions said the rule would delay needed protections for workers, resulting in additional deaths and illnesses.

This is wrong on so many levels, I am (almost) speechless.

“At last, have you no shame, sir?

Sadly, the answer is: “No.  Should I?”

We already know about the burrowing, about the race to open up pristine woodlands to loggers, to destroy the National Parks via drilling and other ecologically unsound practices…while all eyes are focused on Obama, Bush & Cheney, the antichrists for sure (’cause they don’t represent anything that Christ stood for, and are, in fact, anti-everything that Christ would have promoted) are trying to undermine us all–every last American citizen and the ecology and rules of law we hold dear.

GAH!  “Fury” is not the word for what I feel right now.  [deep breath; exhale]

The timing of the proposal appears to violate a memorandum issued in early May by Joshua B. Bolten, the White House chief of staff.

snip

The Labor Department rule is among many that federal agencies are poised to issue before Mr. Bush turns over the White House to Mr. Obama.

One rule would allow coal companies to dump rock and dirt from mountaintop mining operations into nearby streams and valleys. Another, issued last week by the Health and Human Services Department, gives states sweeping authority to charge higher co-payments for doctor’s visits, hospital care and prescription drugs provided to low-income people under Medicaid. The department is working on another rule to protect health care workers who refuse to perform abortions or other procedures on religious or moral grounds.

Go read the whole thing.  I’m already pushing the envelope vis a vis fair use standards.

But JFC!  We already knew they didn’t give a shit, about us or about the environment–they’ve made that perfectly clear over the past 8 years.  What they’re doing now is both cynical–let’s shove our agenda down their throats so we can cut & run from the WH and blame everything on the Dems–but also evil.

Yes, evil.  Evil!  In the sense of Satan–Satanic–Devil-Worshiping–

Look, I don’t personally believe in Satan any more than I believe in the Christian God.  But these guys claim to.  And I know more than a little about the historical Christian belief system: we can start with the usury laws.  They were laws against usury, which is defined as charging interest rates over 10%.  How much is your credit card company charging you?

So, let’s go back to the Old Testament, shall we?  What about “stewardship,” usually defined as taking care of one’s lands?  Not despoiling them.

How about “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you?”

FEH.  The whole viperpit of evil m*****f*****s makes me want to vomit.

Now can we please please please if not impeach them for their many high crimes and misdemeanors, at least implore The Hague to indict them for crimes against humanity?

It’s about fucking time.

    Somehow I missed this yesterday.

I’m so far past impeachment its not funny.  I want trials, convictions, (photos of them in little sparse cells) and while I normally don’t support the death penalty, in these guys case, I might make an exception.
