Every year Project Censored identifies and prioritizes the 25 most important stories that were ignored by the MSM. The project is a part of Sonoma State University and here’s a bit about how they make their selections.
Between 700 and 1000 stories are submitted to Project Censored each year from journalists, scholars, librarians, and concerned citizens around the world. With the help of more than 200 Sonoma State University faculty, students, and community members, Project Censored reviews the story submissions for coverage, content, reliability of sources and national significance. The university community selects 25 stories to submit to the Project Censored panel of judges who then rank them in order of importance.
So, what made the list this year?

I’d say that we here at Docudharma can be pretty proud that, due to our wonderful writers, many of these stories have been covered on the pages here. But we’re certainly not batting 1,000.
I’d like to suggest that if one of these headlines grabs your attention, follow the link at the top of this essay and learn more about what Project Censored has to say about it. They have short summaries of each along with sources where you can read more. Then come back and share what you’ve learned with all of us.
Batter up!!!!!!!

has been doing really great work here keeping the APA/torture connection story alive with very detailed essays. If Bush and Cheney ever land in a prisoners dock defending themselves from war crimes it will be because of the kind of writing Valtin does and we all owe him a big thanks for it, I believe.
…is go…heh…omg…at these things. omg, omg, omg. And eventually they get picked up, or the process of ignoring them becomes so much part of the mainstream that the filter itself gets picked up and noticed…
. . . where this story, while reported, is also–censored! Over there, it’s the Top 24 Censored Stories.
Story #24, “Japan Questions 9/11 and the Global War on Terror,” can’t be told on Great Orange. The diarist apparently had it on the list initially, but was forced to remove it.
