President Lula of Brazil blames crisis on ‘white and blue-eyed’
Mr Lula da Silva said that action was urgent since it would be intolerable for the poor – who were blameless for the collapse of financial markets – to suffer the most from its effects.
“This was a crisis that was fostered and boosted by the irrational behaviour of people who were white and blue-eyed, who before the crisis they looked like they knew everything about economics, but now have demonstrated they know nothing about economics,” he said, mocking the “gods of wisdom” who had had to be bailed out. “The part of humanity that is responsible should be the part that pays for the crisis,” he added.
“This crisis was caused by no black man or woman or by no indigenous person or by no poor person,”
Sky News’ Joey Jones said it was an “uncomfortable” moment for Brown.
Jones said: “People in Brazil are very frustrated and angry at what they feel is the injustice of the situation: a crisis that has essentially come from the banking sectors in places like the United States and the U.K., but is affecting their country.”

whether I want to – as Colbert would say – “trust my gut” (in other words bs my way through) answering all of those questions or if I want to go to teh google and live in the reality-based world – which we all KNOW has a liberal bias because Colbert said so.
Anyway, while I’m pondering the depths of all of that, I’ll just say that I LOVE it when those folks from our southern hemisphere kick our butts. Some of them are getting mighty feisty these days. And it couldn’t come at a better time!

Best thing about this post is that nifty night time map of the world thingy. Note the bright lights in that land mass on the left. Now if one were to say shut those off one could perhaps distribute those lights evenly among those other “dark” land masses, at a profit of course.
I mean one can see clearly that the land mass on the left is hogging all of those magical light sources. What right do they have to do that. Who do they think they are?
