Best Buy and Should I

Just “fired”/”laid off”/”downsized” both my daughter and my son-in-law.

They are currently in the hospital delivering her baby.

She gave birth to Ryan, by C-section at 3:30 AM this morning.  Mother and son are both fine.  That is or course the greatest blessing.

Still I fear for these kids. A medical system that sucks in many ways.  The world they have to live in devoid of compassion.  Their future, that paranormal black hole I don’t want to look at.

The debate

Should I share my highly personal whole story about this event.  Have I completely stepped out of the “reality” based world.  Should I go get some prozac.  Have I been beeped yet again by the supernatural world.

The arrival of my second daughter into the world was also a turbulent time in my life.  We had just bought the house.  I was driving a piece of junk truck which could only be shifted by moving a threaded rod connected to the transmission linkage.  I had just been laid off two weeks ago but this blackest night turned into the brightest dawn.

My lost gold wedding band was perfectly centered in the bed of the truck surrounded by the flower pots and other gifts I was taking home from the hospital.  Time stood still while a heavenly joy washed over me.  The great beyond, my sister who died in a car crash in 1980 came back and told me all would be right.

I hope everybody is well, and yes, losing your job in the middle of that is a downer.  Congratulations.

  5. for my maternity leave (two weeks before I delivered my twins).  That was a nice kick in the pants.

But, so happy for the good news that everyone is okay physically.  We all have to pull together to get through this mess.

    Bless you and your family.
