Photo Diary: A Few Shots of Chicago

(noon. – promoted by ek hornbeck)

I went to Chicago recently, my only regret is that I did not get to spend enough time playing tourist. I was fortunate enough to be attending a conference, and the number of attendees compared to previous years was not surprisingly sharply down. What little I saw impressed me and I used to hate hot dogs till I had the real deal.

I did take a few pictures though.

I happened to notice a few tall buildings….

  2. Maybe the revolution has finally begun.

  3. I’m sitting here musing to myself because I worked in Chicago, for a long, long time, and I don’t have near as many great pictures of it, as you do here.  Really good shots you got!  Were you in Sears Tower to take some of those high up shots?

Hope you had some fun here in the Windy City!

Chicago rose off the Illinois plain in the late 1900s.

    What a city.

    Prohibition.  Al Capone.

    JFK.  Sam Giancana.

    The Daleys.

    Great architecture.

  4. You did real nice job capturing the colors in the aquarium ucc.  The jellyfish are too cool.

I also like the shot of the lake front looking north.  I grew up in Evanston – the suburb just above Chicago.  Haven’t been home in a while so it’s nice to see your pics.

Did you eat any pizza when you were there?

  5. Hey are you ever coming to Memphis on business? So we can hang out? For that matter does anybody at DD ever come to Memphis on business? Just wondered.

Um don’t come during “Elvis week”…..
