If I understand correctly, these are CDC (California Department of Corrections) firefighters. I call them firefighters. Perhaps some will find they have an appetite for fire fighting, and all the vast glory that goes with it, and become a star fire fighter after prison. I hope there are some paths for those with a record to have a second chance.
Not to put a specific focus on an overall feeling of amazement and gratitude.
an inmate in this country is a permanently digitized DNA sampled inmate, ie defective person, forever unqualified like returning veterans to carry firearms. Why not crab fishermen on the Bering Sea.
