My name is Inky99 and I am banned at Dailykos

I was banned at Dailykos a couple of days ago, for writing two-in-a-row recommended diarires, one which pointed out how much of the 9/11 Commission Report’s “information” was obtained through torture and which is therefore completely unreliable, and the other about an upcoming book written by a Commission Report insider in which he claims that the entire Report is “almost entirely untrue”.

Here is the first one:

http://www.dailykos.com/storyo…

And here is the second one:

http://www.dailykos.com/storyo…

If anyone would like to read the rest of my diary history there, here is the link:

http://inky99.dailykos.com/

I had a lot of recommended diaries over there.

I was just about done with the place anyway.  But when I find out something that I feel people need to know, I have an innate need to spread it around and share it.

So that’s what I was doing, even though, as MANY people here are posting, the maturity level over there is about on par with that of a 9th grade detention hall.

I won’t be going back there, even though I was banned before and went back anyway.

My past user names there were theyrereal and maggrwaggr.   Both of those names posted some damn good stuff there, too.

I have no idea why Kos is such a dweeb and an idiot and a fool.  I have no idea why he is friends with Dana Ghoul and lets him shit all over the place and verbally abuse people with no accountability.

But when the lid is starting to blow off the whole 9/11/torture/Iraq war mess, and the truth just might come out eventually.

Yes, those of us with brains know when we’re being lied to, and most of us figured it out, that we’re being lied to, at some point in the last eight years.  For me, ironically, it’s when we didn’t invade Pakistan.  I honestly figured Pakistan would be the next one we’d invade after Afghanistan.

Suddenly Pakistan was our “ally” and we were going after Iraq, who had nothing to do with terrorism.

That’s when the red flags went up for me and I started realizing we were all being fed a pile of shit, and I started doing my own homework.

Here are two more links of interest:

This one chronicles some of the work of a Philadelphia law firm doing some really good work into the financing of 9/11:

http://www.philly.com/inquirer…

And this one where Robert Fisk writes: Even I question the ‘truth’ about 9/11

http://www.independent.co.uk/o…

There’s a lot more out there but I don’t have time to go into it now.  I hope we can have interesting conversations here where we actually can talk about reality and not be 100% emotionally attached to a lie.

I compare it to Santa Claus.  There’s a point in life when you realize Santa Claus doesn’t exist and you’ve been lied to your entire life.   Once there, you don’t go back.  You can’t.

For those of us who have hit that point, well, there we are, in a world where almost everybody else still believes in Santa Claus.

I started a blog about it just for the hell of it:

http://santaclausdoesnotexist….

I don’t care if anybody reads it or not.  I just need an outlet, but I’ll probably use the one here instead.  πŸ™‚

Finding out that Tocque Deville is here now is what motivated me to come back here.  He was always one of my faves at DK.

Am I an idiot and can’t find the “publish” button?  Or does “save” mean publish?

    Hmmmm.

  1. For all that Markos goes on about how he’s a media critic, he’s really not.  He’s a media wannabe, in a manner of speaking — honestly, until the day he gets his own invitation to the WH Correspondent’s Dinner, he won’t be satisfied.  IMO, his ultimate goal is to be that mainstream.  I think that’s why he’s been so gleeful in his posts about the demise of the newspaper industry of late — he sees them as competition.

Anyway, diaries like yours hinder that goal.  Any blog that tolerates the so-called 9/11 CT diaries can never be entirely mainstream or ‘credible’.  For whatever reason, Markos has defined “CT” as anything that discussed 9/11 in any way at all that detours from the official commission report.

So be it.  It’s his bed and he gets to lie in it.

  2. Good to see you here, always liked your stuff over there … dunno what they’re thinking, with that purge mentality … but they’ll become a blogosphere laughingstock if it keeps up, ’cause it just looks comical.

  3. over there and while I don’t really have an issue with not letting people discuss 9/11 theories, the place frequently pisses me off because I’ll write a lot of good things, and other people will write a lot of good things, but the recommended list is a huge popularity contest. I could write, oh I dunno, two diaries in a row linking Cheney-Plame outing-al Libi and nobody notices but someone posts pictures and it gets to the top.

    That place is incredibly frustrating.

I have my own blog too but it’s more of a recent thing and only a few people read it.

  4. Iraq has oil. This made all the difference when it came to choosing targets

    Welcome, and keep posting

  5. This diary would have been a lot different if I had known that others in addition to DTV were banned.  I had no idea.

I think I’m finally finished with the Great Orange Satrapy, but who knows.  I find ddharma much more comfortable, primarily because it doesn’t have dozens of trolls and a howling mob mentality.  I think you’ll like it here.  Welcome.

Ohio’s exit polls to be specific. Kos melted down about the images files people had taken of their own TVs showing CNN’s Ohio exit polling data had been altered. Called Kos a faith-based voter. Banned by Kos personally.

Someone is going to have to make some kind of lapel pin… “Banned by Kos” There’s some money to be made there.

  6. BiAlinWashSt from Kos here.  Glad to see ya here.  Sorry about the Kos thing, I might join ya on the banned list here soon if I get my dander up enough!

  7. I post over there, but my home is here and Square State. I am sorry you got bounced, but it does not really matter, you have not lost the ability to effect change.

I think you will find a bit more acceptance over here (though that is based on our old lower volume ways) but there will be those (like me sometimes) who will disagree with you from time to time.

The thing is we don’t all expect to agree all the time anyway so it is not that big a deal.

In any case, c’mon aboard and get typing!

  8. you’ll get treated with about the same amount of respect as Congress and Obama are giving to proponents of single payer.

  9. So glad you found your way over here (or were you already here)? I’m so sorry you got banned. But really glad to see you here. The site deserves more traffic anyway. πŸ˜‰

  10. to believe that it’s ok to discuss all possibilities.

    Inquiring minds.

    Scientific investigation.

Or shouldn’t we look into the telescope (because what we see might contradict the Bible)?

It’s so easy to think of 1984 with the Bush administration but maybe it’s more appropriate to use Animal Farm for what’s going on re: Kos allegedly turning into an insider.

Twelve voices were shouting in anger, and they were all alike. No question, now, what had happened to the faces of the pigs. The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

I was very disappointed when you got banned from kos.

I always looked forward to reading your writings.

I was searching the google for inky99 to see were you landed after being deported from dailykos and here you are.

The problem for dailykos is that it has become very successful and paid lobbyists now frequent it and bully writers and readers. Some of these lobbyists had their eye on you as you know and frequently threatened you with getting kos to ban you.

dailykos has become a very uncomfortable environment because of these lobby groups.

Also markos is very thin skinned and dana is simply a fool.

  11. I think it is ultra cool that new folks are here and sorry that some of you got banned.

But I hope y’all also enjoy being here with the unique flavor that it has and don’t fall into any assumptions that this is some “anti kos” site or some place for us to ruminate on the negatives of DK…. I am not doin’ the finger wave thing just observing that all that intellectual and spiritual energy that new people bring can be better used to write interesting diaries and jaw about interesting stuff.

  12. This is fun to watch, sorta.

  13. …of new, creative, truth seeking bloggers.  We have only one rule here:  “Be excellent to each other.”  Beyond that, go for it!

  14. Come on in, the atmosphere here is great.

I didn’t know you had been banned.

  15. Even though Kos himself says that the Bush Executive Branch lied about everything for eight years, no one is allowed to say the official 9/11 story is a lie.

Kos purposely stops investigative inquiry, which is wrong in any democratic organization. And the more important the topic, the more unethical it is to stifle discussion and learning. Well, 9/11 is about as important as things get. It caused two wars to be started. So banning discussion of 9/11 should have good rationale, but in Kos’s case, it only has to do with protecting his image.

Kos rationalizes banning CT because he says it is absurd that our government was involved. That is not what CTers are saying. They are saying someone besides al Qaeda was involved, which means a group of powerful men. This must have included some people in the Bush administration, but it certainly doesn’t require the entire Bush gang.

  16. I followed you and Toque over here from there too…

I’m using the same name here. πŸ˜€

I don’t know what took me so long, budydharma is one of my favorite diarists over at the Great Orange Satan, and this place is right in his sig…

Oh well, I hope I can contribute in some small way here. BTW, I loved the book review that got you banned. I don’t know how quoting a legitimate 9-11 commission member’s book which has been published by a legitimate publisher is considered promoting CT, but there you have it…stupidity is festering at that place and, as much as I enjoy being around the vast traffic there, being subjected to a) sellout blog-owner authoritarianism and b) idiot suckup commenters is making the visits less enjoyable.

Feels pretty good after being screamed at over there by a small minority of squeaky wheel assholes.

You could really start to sense the groundswell over there, especially with that “let’s get Tocque unbanned” diary which got over, what, 2000 comments?  I’ve never seen a comment count that high over there.

    Crazy.

Kos is shooting himself in the foot.

What’s weird is that the two diaries I posted had nothing to do with “conspiracy theories”.  They were just passing along information, one that 25% of the Commission’s report’s info was obtained through torture, and the other that they all agreed to lie about what really happened, which is the subject of a new book written by an insider!

I always made it clear that I sure didn’t KNOW what happened, just that we have been lied to about it since day one.

But thanks, everybody, I think I’m gonna like it here.  πŸ™‚

  18. Consider it a transition further into adulthood.  You are older, wiser and more compassionate.  You displayed enough courage to post about something outside the approved PC list and that makes you a real person.  You can Google Gatekeeper by inserting either left or right before it.

Did the post new buttons just disappear?

They got me for bringing up “conspiracy” stuff too, but it isn’t tin foil hat anymore.

    Just do a Google count

911 truth is 18 million hits

New World Order is now 555 million.

And Tim Geithner works for the CFR not for the United States.

    Welcome.

    • Arctor on May 20, 2009 at 03:41

screaming that her free speech rights had been violated…the constitution only applies to government infringement. So at the end of the day, it’s Kos’ site and he makes the rules (and then the schoolyard monitors make sure to enforce them, those folks who used to remind the teacher she forgot to give us homework!) So if we want to continue an intelligent analysis of the world we are living in at some point we have to head over here where freedom rules!

And of course the deliberate marginalization of “conspiracy theorists”, the denigration of “tin-foil”hat wearers, was the original brainchild of those in power who for whatever motive didn’t want JFK’s death examined. They perfected their method there and had it ready made for 9/11, America’s likely real-life national Truman Show. Staged as any professional propagandist would on a beautiful day at morning prime-time! Oh that Osama bin Laden, what a showman! Anyway, now they’ve traced the motive for torture back to the agenda for the Iraq War and discredited the 9/11 Commission Report; it’s only a matter of time before the Black Flag operation is unfurled in all it’s ugly horror. From day one they wanted an excuse to invade Iraq, the King said give me a reason, or to paraphrase: won’t someone rid me of this accursed priest? They manipulated every single act and event to achieve their neo-Con ends from day one, but we are still asked to believe that NONE OF THE BUSH AGENDA would have happenned without the deus-ex-machinations of bin Laden and Co.? LOL!

Of course Toquedeville shouldn’t have been banned for discussing the marginalization of conspiracy theory or the book in question and someday, hopefully, on this issue KOS will have to print his “apology.” But till then, let them rant on about how unspeakingly awesome Obama is and we’ll come here for intelligent discussion.

But do you think KOS can ban someone for writing bad things about his site on another site? I hope not, ’cause my DKOS algorithm just made me a TU for the fourth time, I hope I don’t lose it again, I’ve never even tried to hide someone’s comments, woe is me!

  19. I also really liked your other incarnations theyereal and maggrwaggr. This seems like a really stupid move on kos’s part as the main draw and appeal for most is the great writing and the mingling of the elements that make up strange coalitions, plus a community that is diverse.  What are politics anyway except one giant conspiracy? Any place that starts telling me I’m a bad this or that because I don’t follow the leaders and watch the parking meters is not my idea of a reality based community, nor does it make me want to be a ‘good Democrat’.

I posted on your diary I liked it, you ask me it’s all going to come out, as it is all connected. I just can’t believe that denial or sticking your head in the sand is going to help. No way does validating the pols who brought us here help either the party or the country. Thanks for your writing and all the other voices who actually want to promote democracy and allow the truth out both past and present. Welcome.

  20. Not yet banned or going away from the orange mess … yet.

  21. large scale bans was also imposed at MyDD by JA during the primary wars. Folks like Bob Johnson were banned. Some of the bloggers on both sides got tired of fighting and bans, went out formed their own blogs like MotleyMoose.

And yes, I agree with your sentiment about Dana Houle. He literally is (more than Mary Scott Conner) the most foul mouthed and uncivil Frontpage blogger ever to grace a blog.

  22. I am so glad you are here. I have really come to like you at Kos and was afraid I wouldn’t be able to read your stuff anymore. I posted something to you in Hornito’s diary here but I don’t know if you saw it. I am Indygirl at Kos.

It is strange that your last diary is the one that got you banned. The diary about Smithfield Farms was actually very much like the diary that finally did it for Tocque. Like his diary you didn’t present a CT but rather nailed Rueters for calling the possibility a CT before the tests were even done. Like Tocque’s diary it seemed to go right over alot of people’s heads. It’s weird. I wrote in your Smithfield diary (after my own rant about the words “conspiracy theorist”) that I wish somebody would write a really good in-depth diary on how the labeling of people as “conspiracy theorists” has become a tool to smear people and stop or change discussions that have nothing to do with actual conspiracies. Maybe that wasn’t such a good idea after all…At least not where it was published.

I was also shocked how much pushback you got for the pictures of the children in Afghanistan compared side by side with those in Iraq. Some people seemed to want you out so bad that they actually tried defending the actions. That really blew my mind.

Anyways it’s great that you are here! Your heart really comes through the screen when you write about human rights. Being a mom of young children it’s hard to sleep at night. I can’t seem to get those awful pictures out of my head sometimes. I think about KSM’s children and some other horrific stories I have heard and it just brings me to tears. Just today my daughter fell in our driveway and scraped her knee up pretty good. She was screaming and as I was trying to comfort her I thought for a second about the families that have to hear their children scream because of somebody else purposely hurting them. That would kill me. So thanks for putting it all out there for people to see. If that doesn’t help change things I don’t know what will. I look forward to being able to read your diaries once again.

  23. boo Kos when he shows up on the Colbert Report?

    • Inky99 on May 20, 2009 at 09:28

and will post as that from now on.  πŸ™‚

  24. on Kos regarding the Nuremberg trials. Making the case for “aggressive war” Robert Jackson in his final statement posits that the war was not the result of “accidents arising out of the immediate political situation” but a series of pre-meditated false flag incidents conducted by the Nazis. In other words a conspiracy. But suggest this possibility about the U.S. at d-kos and  you get banned. I made it over here from d-kos not because I got banned, just angry that Inky and Toquedeville did. I used another name.

  25. conspiracy theories rock the eagle-scout, Norman Rockwell, work on a Democrat’s campaign world of Kos. Too much emotional investment in the status-quo. Nothing wrong with Norman Rockwell, just got to think out of the box every once in a while.

  26. I liked your stuff over there, looking forward to seeing it here now.

    • Arctor on May 20, 2009 at 16:42

comes out they will say: Well those tin-foil hat people were right for the wrong reason, they were just making delusion-based guesses!

    • Pluto on May 20, 2009 at 19:42

You are one of my favorites.

I need to be spending a lot more time here anyway. All of my favorite people are here.

  27. dailykos.com seem to be controlled by the CIA.

I post there walking a fine line, trying to add some truth without getting banned.

Kos went on the record at the commonwealth club as having considered taking a job as a covert operative with the CIA:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v

Not quite sure what to make of this one:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v

My guess is that Kos is a cover operative for the CIA and that many of the “full time” posters are there to control debate.

As far as 9/11 … the official story is fiction. The closer you look the more holes you find. The evidence indicates that building 7, not hit by a plane, was brought down by controlled demolition. Start from there and go where the evidence takes you.

I stand with the brave people at Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth!

    http://www.ae911truth.org/

Finally, here is a collection “best of the best” video and audio about 9/11:

    http://www.911podcasts.com/fil

Thanks for the opportunity to talk about the most important political issue of the day.

  28. for discussing election irregularities in Ohio in 2004.  DHinMI can’t take any questioning of his official narrative, no matter how many indictments prove him wrong.  Don’t call him or his thug posse on it.

    • izzy on May 20, 2009 at 22:27

banned at DKos. I post there as misreal (no diaries) and always liked what you wrote, including those 2 diaries. Anywho, I’ll be hanging out here a lot now I suppose.

  29. 9/11 book diary… under my orange name.

Glad to have found you here!  Think I’m gonna like this place.

    • child on May 21, 2009 at 02:13

Well…not banned exactly–just fed up with the big orange and the sycophantic echo-chamber.  But hey, no bashing here.  Kos was an important site in the history of the internet, even if the shark has been jumped.

    Never give up the fight!

    L8-r, t8trs

  30. It’s not quite EXCLUSIVE — but some of the members are VERY fucking choice.

  31. I’m amazed you got banned since what you did didn’t violate FAQ. But kos is off the rails. More later.

    • sula on May 21, 2009 at 04:02

and have stepped though the looking glass. I’m a very early kos user with a very low number and now I’ve followed my husband Moon in the House of Moe over here.

  32. LeftOverAmerica here…..Good to see you πŸ™‚

i came to dd a long time ago, but haven’t been posting anywhere for the last several months while in school.  semester ended yesterday – just in time to see the orange insanity.

hard to believe, one minute elise is belly-aching because “racist” toque was able to post what he wants without being banned.  next time i look he is banned and so is inky99.  if i hadn’t seen him ban armando, i wouldn’t believe it. the loss of armando from the site, imo, was enormous.  i will never forget how he and mcjoan and elise (go figure) built a great coalition to fight the alito nomination. haven’t seen anything like it happen there since.  makes me very sad.  but also hopeful that we can build that kind of energy at dd.

re the gos and where it will go – become more and more mainstream and boring and eventually its own version of the dlc.

inky99, sorry to see the banning.  i rec’d your diary and commented in it in your defense.  i hope you like it at docudharma.  the best writers are here.

  33. Give docudharma your ‘banned by kos’,
