A survey by the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) said that 45 percent of respondents reported a decrease in their 2009 May 1 yield rates compared with 2008. It said 32 percent of public colleges and 50 percent of private colleges reported a decrease.The yield rate, as calculated by the survey, represents the number of students who confirm enrollment with a deposit by the May 1 deadline divided by the total number of students accepted to the university during the regular enrollment period.
But even for those students who applied to and were accepted by their dream schools, many are still faced with the economic reality that their families just don’t have enough money to pay the university’s tuition.
So sad, too bad, should of saved up the money you made selling girl scout cookies and lemonade if you wanted to afford the college that accepts those with a high GPA…
* Health insurers oppose a new government health insurance program, saying it could erode the private insurance marketplace and trigger increased costs for their plans. The industry’s lobbying group, America’s Health Insurance Plans, has said it would support some marketplace reforms as long as lawmakers mandate that Americans purchase some kind of health coverage.
Special Interests holding up Universal Healthcare because they have enough Republicrats (all heavily corporate sponsored officials) on the payroll to tell us peasants “you better pay something motherfuckers”.

So I wish to report on the ground what many of my friends and companions have been seeing lately.
Obama wishes to treat the LGBT community as second class citizens. Nice, real nice. Fuckin’ douchebag.
My state of NY is hiking taxes on things the “youth” buys (iTunes, Soda, etc.) which is an affront to our dignity seeing how we have no prospect of jobs that will pay what we need to survive, nor do we have jobs now that pay us sufficiently, and we didn’t create this economic mess. But we need to pay up, oh well.
We never had a mortgage loan (only student loans), we don’t work in Wall St., weren’t old enough to hold office during the economic-corporate fucking during this time, and now we’re talked down to by our elders to “stop bitching” and get jobs…even when they’re in the same Unemployment Line as us. Fabulous.
We finally get out of school to no job market due to the greed of a few that got to the money train before us only to be told “it sucks to be you” but also “empty your pockets of what you have left” because “we need to get through this together”.
We manned the phones, networked on the internet, knocked on countless doors, put in unpaid hours at campaign headquarters, all to elect this President just for him to turn around and fuck us.
Banks got handed their money fast.
We got handed a pink slip, a bill, and a broom.
All before we even walked through the door to apply for a “real job”.
Fair enough.
We won’t be held responsible for the well coordinated “temper tantrums” that we throw in response.
We were taking your orders at restaurant’s, at the drive-thru window, and behind the counter all because we thought it was a temporary thing while we went to school.
Now we’re all finished with nothing to show for it while being handed this heavy burden by those that could of done something about it.
Everyday I see the souless remains of a shell that has to pay back $400K in student loans for degrees they were told by a society that nodded in agreement that they needed to pursue in order to get the opportunity for a well-paying career.
All that work for a bill and a part-time job they can’t even turn into full-time at this point because “we just don’t have the hours to give”.
No help on the way from our government, some declared second-class citizens, increased taxes on a non-existent disposable income, less availability of credit, no increase in wages, and skyrocketing tuition.
We’re fucked from every angle.
So now, we’ll “answer the call of public service”.
Soon DNC, all your base are belong to us, you’re the only one who will hire us!
