“Despite all the diversions, our people are faithful,” he said, but urged young Iranians to lead more spiritual lives. “The youth are confused. Being away from spirituality has caused confusion. They don’t know what to do,” he said.
He accused what he called arrogant Western powers, particularly Britain and the United States, of showing their hostility to the Iranian Islamic revolution in remarks casting doubt on the election. And he warned them not meddle in Iran’s affairs, accusing them of failing to understand the nature of Iranian society.
Yeah kids, don’t hang out or talk to us, we’re bad influences.
“Confused youth” is another way of saying “those who figured out how shit is run and refuse to accept it” like their adult counterparts.
It is convenient for those to dismiss such youth but what is happening is a “Millennial Generation” whose internet connections made your borders non-existent. You could find them happily watching online porn material with no issue because Streaming teen sex is easier than ever before @ teentuber xxx.
We share music, laughs, files, software, videos, servers, and ideas. We grew up with the internet. Lived under the assumption that racism was stupid. Have no idea why you’re trying to keep gays from getting married. Why we can’t have universal healthcare that’s a right for all of our online friends who live in every other industrialized nation. Friends we consider as close to us as our real friends who live near us because we mainly communicate to our home country friends through the same social networking.
Now we see a struggle that is being broadcast through our “stupid” sites while there is essentially a media blackout there and very little coverage of it here. Then again, most of my generation doesn’t watch the news on t.v. Yup you guessed it, internet also.
We found out that we’re all the same. Ideas can be overthrown as quickly as they are made up by the few who use their ideology to keep the masses in line. You’re full of shit, we know it, wrote pieces or diaries about it that were echoed and read all over the world. With YouTube, Twitter, Myspace, and the internet in general you can no longer spin bullshit the way you used to before a well informed society calls bullshit. We may not know everything but we can google it and find out whatever you want to know.
We’re the youth and we got your number.
Being “adult” is not something that gives you a larger say and we see that even those of you in power still act like children (See NY State Senate) even in the most important times. You are no more different or more qualified to say what is right and wrong then we are. And when you act out of line in an age where our reactions can be seen and distributed by regular ordinary people we will put on “The Greatest Show on Earth” knowing full well that most of the new generation coming up has little to no bias against the convenient enemies you provide as reason to go to war for profit. Nor are we instilled with the same fear of our neighbors that allowed your anti-social policies to go without much protest in the mainstream as was in us before we started talking to one another through these means. Self-expression, sharing, talking, interacting, we’re no longer afraid of each other. However, we now have some questions for those who told us lies for so long. The Iranian peoples last straw was this election.
The jig is up. The Age of Empires is dead.
Long live the awakened governed people of the world.
Young and old.
We don’t refer to the past when showing what we’ve done
The generation gap means the war is never won
The past is in your head
The future’s in our handsCos I’m a brat
And I know everything
And I talk back
Cos I’m not listening
To anything you sayAnd if you count to three (one two three)
You’ll see there’s no emergency
You’ll see I’m not the enemy
Just a prisoner of societyWell we don’t need no one to tell us what to do
Oh yes we’re on our own and there’s nothing you can do
So we don’t need no one like you
To tell us what to doCos I’m a brat
And I know everything
And I talk back
Cos I’m not listening
To anything you sayAnd if you count to three (one two three)
You’ll see there’s no emergency
You’ll see I’m not the enemy
