A Simple Question About Health Reform

Do you know of this famous quote?

The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interred with their bones.

    — William Shakespeare, “Julius Caesar”, Act 3 scene 2
      Greatest English dramatist & poet (1564 – 1616)

With the death of Senator Edward M. Kennedy, would it not behoove us to lay the question of a viable healthcare to bill to rest and let him take the victory of successful passage along with him as he is laid to rest? Isn’t NOW the time for all the wafflers, the Blue Dogs, the DINOs and the weasels to stop screwing around and pay one lasting, final tribute of honor to the man by ending this faux “bipartisan” compromise, putting the meat back into the bill and sending it sailing past the recalcitrant, criminally negligent GOP?

That’s the big question. What say you?

For those who clicked through and who may be dismayed at the poor, foreshortened length of this diary, I leave you with another quote — one which lays bare the naked villainy that the GOP has shown us all, which we must now expose and condemn with one final outraged volley:

And thus I clothe my naked villainy
With old odd ends, stol’n forth of holy writ;
And seem a saint, when most I play the devil.

    — William Shakespeare
      Greatest English dramatist & poet (1564 – 1616)

And with that, I bid adieu

  ~Exeunt~

  1. since our stints over at kos.

    Ya I know where health care is going and none of the debate even addresses the key Machiavellianisms which are.

    1.  The militarization of health care.  Forget the death panels.  That is so much of a diversion it has to be labeled purposefully driven propaganda.  I have aging parents and I will forever curse that Satan inspired legislation called HIPPA.  Seniors are big pharma’s cash cow and won’t be sacrificed.

    If I feel the need to get a vaccine I will, otherwise I will stick the needle in your eye.

    2. I am compiling a list of toxic foods, toxic news and thinking of ways high technology is really counterproductive tool of slavery.  The waste factors here are immense.

    Bottom line?  The flu shots scheduled for October are multi-component disease accellerants for the purpose of de-population.  If that does not happen I’ll admit I’m a loon.

    …there are hundreds of billions of dollars to be made through the futures market in human suffering and that much more at the derivative craps table, we can expect the financial middleman industry to fight against real health care – and any reasonable regulation of their game – to their very last evil corporate breath.

    By the way, am I the only one who remembers all the great promises issued in exchange for the hundreds of billions funneled over decades into research and treatments for the cancerous consequences of our modern life? I hope that in my grandchildren’s lifetime this period of Amerikan medical, socioeconomic and political history will be considered an aberration, something significantly less than barbaric.
