   So, what would you say if I told you that the people in charge of our detainee interrogation program after 9/11 had ZERO Interrogation experience, but knew everything about Chinese Communist techniques to extract false confessions?

   What would you say if I told you a family therapist and a high blood pressure expert with ZERO interrogation experience were America’s interrogation experts in dealing with accused terrorists?

    They had never carried out a real interrogation, only mock sessions in the military training they had overseen. They had no relevant scholarship; their Ph.D. dissertations were on high blood pressure and family therapy. They had no language skills and no expertise on Al Qaeda.

    But they had psychology credentials and an intimate knowledge of a brutal treatment regimen used decades ago by Chinese Communists.

   I will put it simply enough. If we fully Prosecute Bush/Cheney for War Crimes we will DESTROY the GOP. The GOP can not defend Bush/Cheney AND win elections.

   According to the bombshell article in the New York Times, Jim Mitchell and Bruce Jessen knew NOTHING about interrogation. The only thing they knew were the Communist Chinese techniques used to extract false confessions from US Soldiers, per SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape) techniques.

    So what do you get when your interrogation experts know zilch about interrogating and everything about torturing to gain false confessions?

    Probably false confessions?

    False confessions that can then be used as evidence to go to war with Iraq.

   It needs to be said loudly and repeatedly. Wingnuts and Republicans HAVE NO ANSWER FOR BUSH/CHENEY. NOTHING. We can BEAT THEM with this. If we don’t we are fucking it up on purpose.

   If you support torture your opinion on Health Care is worthless.

   As others have noted, if Attorney General Eric Holder only prosecutes low level officials it will be worse than doing nothing. It will basically ratify Bush/Cheney’s illegal behavior and set the precedent that there are no consequences for breaking the law if some OLC lawyer says it is okay.

   In short, it will make the President and his men more than men, but less than Gods.

   And that will make you less than an equal citizen, and more like a serf.

  If we have no equality under the law there can be no justice. If there are not equal consequences for breaking the law then we have no rights.

  And do you think another GOP Administration won’t use that to their full advantage?

  Take the time today and call Eric Holder. We can beat the GOP but ONLY if we go for the Throat, and that throat and their leaders are still Bush Republicans.

  Hit em where it hurts.

    Please, contact The White House and Attorney General Eric Holder and demand full prosecutions of Bush/Cheney. Let them know that limited Prosecutions are the same or worse than doing nothing, and any Special Prosecutor must have the power to go all the way to the top.
