Emotion is strength. Love is both giving and tough. Pain is a teacher, sorrow is a guide. The converse, that emotion is weakness, is the biggest lie ever told.
Ultimately, our very essence is about keeping ours alive and well, we are the caretakers, the life givers, those who never give up on our children, who always find a way.
Its not that men are inferior. They are just wired differently, and trained by society to be about impressing and garnering power over others. They think that’s how they attract women, mistake admiration (jealousy) of other men for friendship. Alliances are based on using someones strengths to their benefit, what is in it for them.
Men are about power and sex, and the power to get sex.
Women are about sustaining the species.
Women love people more for their weaknesses, their humanity, are more forgiving.
Women don’t war for “stuff”… they will only fight to protect their own, or someone they see as in need in of protection, the weak.
The famous saying goes, “Those who seek power don’t deserve to have it.”
Who has sought power? Who has not?
Look to us, who have sat in the background, quietly running things so our men could seek the glory they need. Propping up their egos, when they don’t attain it. Fixing things, healing bodies and hearts, and always, always taking the shadows.
Kind of stands to reason, yes? “Those who don’t seek power (for powers sake, especially) surely do deserve it.”
The World can only be saved by Love. Our kind of Love.
The Grandmothers of the Iroquois Confederacy had final vote on who was chief, and had final say on where or if they sent their sons to war. Alliance and negotiation was their norm, war was almost unheard of, once this came into place.
The rule was always to think 10 generations forward in implication of any decision. Women want their children to prosper always.
Women were more gatherers, not hunters, we had to “tend” the plants, save the seed, be sure to not take too many of any one species, so that the whole would survive for future generations.
Women don’t rape people, let alone the planet.
We would never mutilate your genitals, the most we might ask for is a little (ahem) trimming of excess fur. Heh. We are about pleasure, not control.
The Goddesses of true “Woman based” religions have always been discredited as witchcraft, merely for the fact that they disapproved of war and violence, and were about healing, sharing, creating. Surely there is nothing wrong with that, especially if their spells helped to make a positive difference to the world? But that’s just my view on it, I don’t know what anyone else thinks. Apparently, this idea had to be stopped, and their subservience to the Male Gods reinstated, so that the Power Seekers could hold their dominion over women, let alone other men. The same male Gods that sought to make our bodies dirty, our love and lust nothing more than a trap, because that was the only thing they felt inferior or powerless to. This cloture, this censure of our sexuality into a Madonna complex, while obsession with our bodies is ridiculous to us.
Men have been twisted by power. They have killed they very concepts they sought, and sought it with the ugliest possible means. Hate over Love, Brutality over Creation.
We know our duality with you, we know it takes two to make a whole. We know men are too afraid of that idea to face it outside of the bedroom. We can be our male selves, yet it is a rare man, let alone men collectively that can face their female nature. We our comfortable with our bodies and sex.
We don’t take ourselves, and by nature, you all that serious. We laugh, we diffuse with humor. We EMPATHIZE.
Mothers, and women in general would have health care, education, green technology our priority, and would be loathe to send our children off to war.
Patriarchy is a failed experiment.
It is time to try something new.
Its time to sit back men, you lose nothing by letting women take Political charge. You would only gain peace, prosperity, a future.
If you can find no other reason to try something new, to take a back seat to women in the Running of the World for a while think about it: happy, healthy, warless people get laid a LOT more.

Here’s your “tip” :
We love your bodies, but Speedos look ridiculous!
heh.
IMHO.
Buy a boat. Save the seed.
I can take you OUT of it!” lol
Im not a “feminist”, I consider myself a humanist.
You got it right there in a comment upstream, Diane … we’ve lost our duality, our yin/yang. Balance.
Unless you count Us v Them, or Have v. Have Not…. but thats not duality. or plurality, which must logically follow.
More coffee.
Like the essay, even though I dont entirely agree. heh.
A neat little book I read in the 60’s, “The Secret of The Andes” had an interesting POV. A bit of woo-woo land, astrology, involved, but balance never-the-less. The book claimed that there are three ages, or cycles turning to a new phase, sometime soon after the turn of the 20-21 centuries.
A minor age of around 2100+ years turns, with 12 phases in the cycle before a repeat, the 12 astrological signs we are familar with being the description of these ages.
A major age of around 25,000+ years, or 12 minor cycles, turns at the same time. Possibly relevant to the Hopi’s 5 ages of man, in that there are 5 phases in this cycle.
And a master cycle turns. This master cycle has only two phases, yin and yang, and is approx. 125,000+ years per phase. And the turning at this point in time goes from the yang to the yin.
And so, Diane, it looks like you are going to get your wish, you ladies are getting ready to be up-front.
The main subject of the book however, is not the turning of the ages, but the resultant shifting of the chakaras of the planet. The previous planetary crown chakara was Lhasa, Tibet. With the coming polarization from the male aspect to the female aspect, the planetary crown chakara shifts also, to somewhere around Lake Titicaca.
Interesting times….Dawning of the Age of Aquarius…and all that.
And heres your pony! (It is in here somewhere anyway)
Be well
history is replete with women who didn’t act much better than men once they were in a “leadership” role.
Other than that, sure, women tend to run things really well. A lot of the best, most organized managers I know are women.
…that in the war of the sexes, my camp always gets burned out first.
My feminism is pretty bumper sticker: the radical notion that women are human beings. And as a wiccan type, I’m all about immanent value. I can run (to a point) with the “women should run the world” meme. But, eh…
…the society where women are in the background as caretakers is the patriarchy. The moral stance of the oppressed, while they are oppressed, is not a reason to priviledge that group (or assume they would keep the qualities which are so valued, when they are on the downside)…
Ultimately, I agree about something new, though. It is high time that we recognized that neither patriarchy or matriarchy can meet the needs of our species in the coming era. Transarchy. I’m just saying…
