The images that are coming from Hubble are some of the most magnificent images from the universe. It really makes me wonder if there really might be someone out there that is looking back. Thanks, budhy, you made my headache a little less.
telescope. I can do it with cars, too. I sold my last car (which I loved); and when I saw it again, it was dirty, neglected and bashed up. It made me want to cry. I felt like I had abandoned it. I felt the same way when they talked about abandoning the Hubble.

…which I could have?

whirlwind journey!
How much is a Billion anyways?
for some context:
60 seconds
x 60 minutes = 3,600 seconds
x 24 hours = 86,400 seconds
x 365.24 days = 31,556,736 seconds
x 100 years = 3,155,673,600 seconds (3.1 Billion)
And how many Seconds in the 14 Billion years of the Universe?
x 14,000,000,000 years = 4.41794 E+17 seconds
or
441,794,000,000,000,000 seconds (441.8 Quadrillion)
Do you think the Fed is getting close to that yet, lol?
whirlwind, indeed!

MoT’s essay about his AA radio spot here
I’d have to say that it looks like there is lots of room out there in the universe for wingnuts.
Why do we need them down here?
