How Do You Reach A Planet?

In Planet Versus Profit I laid out a theme I think could make a real difference for our little blue ball and the folks who live here.

We have certainly seen during the Health Care battle that the united voice of the People DOES work to effect change. When the outcry for the Public Option got loud enough …and united enough…we got a Public Option. Sure it is a crappy Public Option with the potential to do more harm than good, but the point is….”we” made them put it in.

The blessing of a leaderless epoch is that it allows The People to lead.

The Planet is in a huge state of flux and is going through change-quakes constantly. Pretty much all of the world’s “leadership” has proven that they are not some kind of wizards who have a level of knowledge that insists that we must shut up and trust them. Even The Ruling Class is rocked back on it’s heals.

IF we can find a way for the People to come together with one united voice, the People can at least help to fill the leadership void.

There are 7 billion people on the planet.

We need approximately .10% of them to come together with something approximating a united voice and a decent commitment to internet activism to really, really change the conversation.

Iow…we need to tap the mutant strain of planetary activism and draw it together some how.

But first those mutants need to know we are out here trying to make change.

So….how do we reach those mutants and wrangle them into enough united action to make a difference?

In other words, when the voice of the People is loud enough, the political class is obliged to raise up a public relations effort to drown it out.  I hope this isn’t what you call “making a difference.”

them.  They’ve declared war.  But maybe we can reach their offspring.

    we might have an affect.

Quit buying stuff that’s destructive to the planet.

While this won’t have the huge effect some people think, it will have an impact as far as what products are shoved down our throats.

But I don’t see this happening, sadly.   Here in LA I see people lined up at Jack in the Box every day.

  3. the ones going under the waves….

the ones for whom it is not hypothetical……

and back up into the ones who will soon be there…..

  4. it may go that “we” are not really able to effect a truly (visibly) “unified” … thing… but that The same Message, effort, movement, will reverberate across multiple…. things…. simultaneously.

And the ripples will magnify into tidal waves.

    Convergence.

Im enjoying the hell out of this guy’s book (I keep mentioning) and Im only up to page 37! lol
