WASHINGTON – The glow from a health care triumph faded quickly for President Barack Obama on Sunday as Democrats realized the bill they fought so hard to pass in the House has nowhere to go in the Senate.
Speaking from the Rose Garden about 14 hours after the late Saturday vote, Obama urged senators to be like runners on a relay team and “take the baton and bring this effort to the finish line on behalf of the American people.”
The problem is that the Senate won’t run with it. The government health insurance plan included in the House bill is unacceptable to a few Democratic moderates who hold the balance of power in the Senate.
Oh yes, such a fuckin’ “lefty” that Obama eh?
It came up in discussion today in class about the health care bill.
The conservative douchebag that teaches the class (and has no facts to back his absurd claims up) has set the tone that the Democrats are the “left” in this country.
At that moment it hit me, something that I knew about but had never really actually said out loud to share with anyone before.
It seems as if the right-wing’s agenda at this point is “damage control” to try and delay the inevitable progressive surge that will be coming before they and their kind die out. The first ever multi-cultural generation will find themselves having to enter into the positions of power as the old guard leaves their post. But before they do, the right-wing and their co-opted liberal friends want to try and indoctrinate the last bunch of young folk about what being “adults in politics” is all about.
Knowing full well that gay marriage will be a done deal within 6 years, a universal health care plan will also be inevitable, the right is doing the only thing it can….the only thing it does well at all….calling the slightest progress towards a more cooperative society by the opposing party an “extreme leftist move” knowing full well that it is the only thing that will have the effect desired. Stopping the Democrats who are not only afraid of their own shadow (and what the public will see it as), but also worry them that they are being “too liberal” to a point that will cause them to lose their newly acquired sugar daddies on K Street.
Any reform, any “change” by the opposition party will be opposed by the GOP as the right purifies their ranks for their rise in the future. And due to the frustration of the REAL far-left, the Democrats failing policies that would of worked if they had just said “go fuck yourself” and passed what we all know is needed and would of worked had they not wussed out, they will be considered the fail party while the GOP promises “true change” as long as we compromise on social issues (abortion, civil rights, etc.) to elect them.
The purpose now is to label any demand for a single-payer health care system as not even up for discussion and to be viewed as an option “so far out of the realm of what can be done” that it’s mere mention creates laughter by the old guards on their way out.
This sets the tone for debate, the discussion consensus, that the issue shouldn’t be raised. Then, when a “public option” is brought up, the right will wail and complain about such a “leftist” position and moderate/corporate Democrats will refuse to budge on the option yet it is watered down. Still, the right-wing screams about the position of a public option as being “far left” in view and when it is passed, the Democrats act like they’re a bunch of Che Guevara’s with 7-figure incomes that gave the people….something, they don’t know, they have a bunch of “We Passed Health Care” Balls to attend and Pelosi bought many dresses. She never did get to be prom queen. Eat that Cindy McKeeney that made fun of me in High School!
So the tone gets set and the corporate masters laugh at the fact they got away with all that they did, but are “pissed” that those “goddamn liberals” got in the way of them telling the public to get fucked. $70 billion captive market is way less then the profits they were making by denying these people and making residual capital in the market with whatever Health Care company did the best at not paying out for the people who paid in for so long.

All hope seems to be lost for those with an IQ higher then their shoe-size. The mind numbing idiocy of 8 years under George W and now a full Democratic Majority with a filibuster proof Senate and instead we find ourselves still being told to “get fucked” when it comes to changing our ways as a country. What sane being would continue with the fight knowing that, short of an extreme change of the entire corporate guard, barring of lobbyists within 10 miles of Washington D.C., there is most likely nothing that can be gained unless we…..no, not the “R” word, we can set up another march in the streets!
This is where we find ourselves. We have voted in great numbers, organized to resist the right-wing and war, have even campaigned so that they can gain the majority, EVERY LEGAL AND PEACEFUL WAY WE COULD CHANGE THE POLITICAL ESTABLISHMENT!!!
And what? What happened? Shall I spend another 8-10 years organizing to get jailed and nothing gained or so that we can vote in another group that will promise change and pull this shit again?
We have given the system EVERY try, we have exhausted EVERY possible legal reformation that our constitution and democratic process allows us, and we have found ourselves only having a choice between who represents the corporate interests that don’t upset the people they own.
I don’t want revolution, it is ugly, it is messy, innocent people are killed and harmed ESPECIALLY when there is no clear objective other than deposing of the powers that exist, , but it seems like there is no other way to be taken seriously. So in order to avoid such a mess, allow me to set ground rules for the next aspiring “governing class”:
– Those who wish to represent the people shall accept NO pay for doing so. To serve the public after you have been elected should be considered an honor and a privilege that will have no salary drawn from the position.
– No hard OR soft money. Anything besides small and anonymous contributions to a candidate will be considered a bribe by the individual and/or Company that tries to give large amounts to a candidate. By being a small max amount and anonymous, no one person/company can influence a politicians thoughts or vote on an issue seeing as they won’t know the person nor be able to accumulate (by indication of the amount) any knowledge as to who the contributor is.
– While in office, all industry lobbyists will be allowed one representative to meet with a government elected representative for a set amount of time and no group will have any contact outside of normal government operation hours with the candidate under penalty of federal law. Once again, no money will exchange hands through ANY form nor any arrangements made outside of normal operating hours of the government.
– Non-Profit, NGO’s, and Humanitarian organizations that are registered with the Federal Government will be given special accommodations, if their input on a matter of their organizations cause (i.e. environment, poverty, civil liberties, etc.) is up for reform or added legislation , to meet with representatives for an extended amount of time then allotted under the federal law for private sector lobbyists.
It doesn’t sound like much, but remember that I normally envision saying these demands with a well armed entourage behind me protecting the numerous community care workers providing food/childcare/ebooks/education/community first aid-healthcare to the people who need someone to stand up for them.

Instead, it turned into a bunch of greedy yuppies in suits driving expensive foreign cars. When the establishment repositions conservatives as moderates, it does make Obama left and us communists.
but oppressive evil totalitarian corpo-fascism. We don’t even have a common language anymore after years upon years of pandering “news” at a grade six level. People can be identified, branded after a five minute conversation that drills down to what media station they watch.
Obama does what the globalists tell him to do and right now the prime directive is to take down everything that was America.
