US Soldier arrested for waterboarding 4-year-old daughter

What can one say?  I can imagine a punishment for this guy.  But on a deeper level, this may be chickens coming home to roost from American use of torture and the failure to punish war criminals such as George Bush, Dick Cheney, Rumsfeld, and others.  When torture is allowed against anyone, a taboo is broken and the crazy may use it on others, including a 4 year old child:

A crazed G.I. was arrested for waterboarding his 4-year-old daughter because she wouldn’t say her ABCs.

Cops said Army Sgt. Joshua Tabor, 27, who served 15 months in Iraq, admitted to punishing his daughter by holding her down on the kitchen counter in suburban Washington State and repeatedly pushing her head backward into a full sink.

He explained she’s deathly afraid of water,” said Todd Stancil, police chief in Yelm, Wash.

He would lay her down on her back and push her head into the water right up to her eyeline. He was open about it. He did it all the time. To him, that was an acceptable form of punishment – because she wasn’t able to say the alphabet.”

Stancil said neighbors told cops that he also ran water over the flailing girl’s face, taking her to the edge of drowning, but Tabor denied that.

It was hot! The water was hot!” the girl said, according to the police report.

Disgusting!  How can any person do that to a child?

There’s more here in the New York Daily News about this:

    What a man!

    Fuck…

  1. I’m not sure if he had any combat exposure, or anything equally severely stressful to justify a PTSD-based account of his behavior.

    i can’t even follow your link this disgusts me so.

    🙁

  2. This guy`s name is all that has to be mentioned, along with his horrible crime.

    I could care less if he was a fire captain or a salmon fisherman.

    What does being in the military have to do with this.

    This is torture.

    This jackoff even knew the little 4 year old was terrified of water.

    No military tribunal for this guy.

    Plain old American justice.

  3. Did I miss this before or did they update/edit the piece?  Im sorry but…. Im so livid I cant really express myself as well as Id like. But look at this. {emphasis and remarks mine}

    Tabor told authorities that “his purpose was to punish her by putting her in the water because he knows she is afraid of it and he wanted her to cooperate.” {sadistic fuck}

    “She said her letters after that,” Tabor told the cops, admitting that he had grown frustrated with the girl after practicing the letters for “approximately three hours.”

    The torture technique of waterboarding, which has been used by the CIA during interrogations of al Qaeda suspects, was outlawed in 2009 by President Obama. {Excuse me? Ya mean, it was legal before Obama??????????!}

    Stancil said he is not sure whether Tabor actually ran the water over the girl’s face, a move that would force a gag reflex. His girlfriend reported having “heard the water running” and said that Tabor had an “anger management problem,” Stancil said. {Okay, I have say, as screwed up as this guy is, I want to know who exactly has decided to call what he did to her “waterboarding”}

    “Tabor told investigators that he feels his daughter is ‘behind mentally for where she should be for her age,'” said Stancil. “He’s blaming the bruises on her squirming and trying to get away from him on the porcelain counter that surrounds the sink.” {right, it was HER fault for squirming.}

  4. disgusting indeed
