without being reminded of Santana. I was fortunate enough to see them close out SWSX in Austin in March, 2004 in a free concert in front of a crowd of 23,000. A DVD was made of the concert and is still available for purchase on a major website for $12.99 new and $3.00 used.
I saw them later in Seattle and Albuquerque, but there was something truly magical about that concert in Austin.
When you listen to this song, at about the 1:10 mark, they begin to sound more like vintage Santana, and even more so at about the 2:06 mark.
…always forget till I hear him again, and then he goes, again, to #1. Everything posted here is wonderful, a celebration of Edger and his Father’s life. Couldn’t find the guitar piece I wished, but wanted to offer something, so I give you this Pablo Casals & Bach…
The following video features a selection from one of my absolute favorite albums of all time, The Pat Metheny Group’s album, “American Garage.” The album itself rose to #1 on the Jazz Album charts and #53 on the Pop Album charts in 1980. Although all five selections from this timeless album can be found on youtube, I included “The Search”, primarily because it included some visual imagery which may bring back memories of places you saw during your recent journey.
