My letter to NYC Council Members for new WTC7 investigation

Here is my letter for the NYC Coalition for Accountability Now’s “Building What?!” campaign, which is a phone and fax campaign to help the New York City Council become aware of the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7. Please visit NYCCAN.org and join this important effort.

Dear Council Member —- ——,

As someone who has researched 9/11 extensively, I ask that you open a new investigation into the 9/11 collapse of World Trade Center Building 7, the 47 story building that was not hit by a plane, had fires on only a handful of floors, but which collapsed at 5:20 in the afternoon into a small debris pile.

The federal government’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) issued a report in 2008 saying that office fires caused this building to collapse. However, there is overwhelming physical and testimonial evidence, which NIST ignored, that proves this building was not brought down by office fires.

NIST said it found no evidence of explosives. What they did not say is that they intentionally did not look for any such evidence (while scientists who looked found nanothermite and other evidence of explosives in the WTC dust). NIST also said that nobody heard explosions. Yet, the interviews of 9/11 emergency responders include over a hundred witnesses to explosions. Then there is the melted steel. Witnesses and videos both prove that there was red hot, melted steel in the debris and basements. NIST says they have no evidence of melted steel.

The NIST’s preliminary WTC7 report in the summer of 2008 said that the WTC7 was not in free fall during its collapse. When NIST allowed public comment on this preliminary report, a high school physics teacher provided an excellent analysis of the WTC7 collapse video. This teacher’s analysis forced the NIST to admit in their final report that the WTC7 was in free fall for approximately 2.2 seconds. Free fall totally contradicts the NIST’s progressive collapse theory. The progressive collapse theory says that one column collapsed, which pulled down the columns next to it, one after another, which pulled down their neighboring columns until all the columns and the entire building collapsed. While the NIST added the finding of free fall to their final report, they did not bother to explain the discrepancy to their theory of progressive collapse. It’s like saying someone was both murdered and committed suicide with no explanation.

Over 1,000 architects and engineers have done the research and signed a petition calling for a new investigation. They know the federal government’s report is deeply flawed and unscientific.  Please visit the Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth website, AE911Truth.org, for an excellent analysis.

If you don’t recall how World Trade Center Building 7 collapsed, simply do a web video search for “WTC7”. And when you see the WTC7’s entire roof collapse together, ask if this looks like one column failing after another, or if the whole building is failing as one. If you think the latter, then you can’t accept the official theory of progressive collapse.

Thank you very much for your time and for looking into this important matter.

Sincerely yours,

Phil D

Most Americans emotional attachment to the government designed narrative of 9/11 makes them uncomfortable to try and think clearly about basic science and evidence, which is what WTC 7 is all about.
