Dr. Gerard Dumenil, of the Political Economy Research Institute (PERI) at The University of Massachusetts, is one of the world’s foremost theorists of neoliberalism and economic crises, and is the author of numerous influential books, many of which have been translated into several languages, including Capital Resurgent: Roots of the Neoliberal Revolution (2004) and his forthcoming The Crisis of Neoliberalism: From the Subprime Crash to the Great Contraction.

    ‘Voodoo Economics’ would be a better term?

  1. Thought I would look back at this very relevant document put out 35 years ago or so.

    In the intro is a money quote, “Is political democracy, as it exists today, a viable form of government for the industrialized countries of Europe, North America and Asia?”

    Looking at the Trialteral Commisions current Board of Directors, a Goldman Sachs alum is in the #2 spot.

    I know if you mention the Trilateral Commision the MSM will automatically brand you a “nut” of some kind, I guess they don’t want people to look to closely.
