And a fight not worth fighting. The NYT reports that 42 Americans died there, and many more Afghan soldiers, and one would imagine, even more local people (but they don’t bother to even mention that). Why were Americans there?
“Occasionally a Taliban or Al Qaeda member was transiting through that location, but the Korangalis were by no means part of the insurgency,” he said. “Unfortunately, now they are because they were willing to accept any help to get us out.”

So, if not Taliban or Al Qaeda, then who are these people we were killing?
Google is your friend, right?
But the Korangalis, a hardened and isolated people with their own language,
This is all I can find on these people. All of it. Why? Because the NYT spelled their fucking name wrong.
It’s Korengali. With an E. Here’s some info about them:

It’s nice to know you have sworn enemies, in verdant valleys whose name you can’t spell isn’t it??

Looks like parts of central BC in the Okanagan Valley
at the wrong time. Don’t they know the Americans are coming to protect the greatest democracy in the world 12,000 miles away?
