Walmart was doing exactly that — literally taking out life insurance policies on people it was giving crappy health care to. Collecting on them, as well.
There is nothing so base, so disgustingly greedy and so anti-personnel, that some corporation somewhere won’t try it or continue to do it, even after caught, as long as it’s not explicitly against the law.
I love Tom Tomorrow. The problem is all too often its humor falls short of the real world outrages taking place every day, literally.
